由爾所出者、必復建久已荒蕪之所、復築累代傾圮之基、爾必稱為彌補罅隙者、修理道途者、使民得居境內、

Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

Your people will rebuild the cities that were destroyed long ago. And you will build again on the old foundations. You will be called One Who Repairs Broken Walls. You will be called One Who Makes City Streets Like New Again.

And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in.

Some of you will rebuild the deserted ruins of your cities. Then you will be known as a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes.

Some of you will rebuild the ancient ruins; you will restore the foundations laid long ago; you will be called the repairer of broken walls, the restorer of streets where people live.

Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up the age old foundations; And you will be called the repairer of the breach, The restorer of the streets in which to dwell.

Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.

“到那日，我必豎立大衛倒塌的帳棚，修補它們的破口；我必重建它的廢墟，使它像往日一樣建立起來。

“‘以色列的眾山啊！你們必長出枝條，為我的子民以色列結出果子，因為他們快要回來了。看哪！我是幫助你們的，我必轉向你們，使人可以在你們上面耕種和撒種。我要使以色列全家的人數在你們上面增多；城市有人居住，廢墟可以重建。我必使人和牲畜都在你們上面增多；他們必繁衍增多；我必使你們有人居住，像從前一樣，並要使你們比先前更蒙福。你們就知道我是耶和華。

耶和華必安慰錫安，他要安慰它的一切荒場，使它的曠野像伊甸園一樣，使它的荒地像耶和華的園子一般，在其中必有歡喜快樂、感謝和歌聲。

然後對王說：“如果王認為好，僕人能在你面前蒙恩寵，就請你差派我往猶大，到我列祖墳墓所在的城去，讓我重建那城。”

我對古列說：‘我的牧人；他必成就我所喜悅的一切。’他要對耶路撒冷說：‘你必被重建起來！’他必對聖殿說：‘你的根基要奠定！’”

“看哪！日子快到（這是耶和華的宣告），這城從哈楠業城樓直到角門，必為耶和華重建起來。

當參巴拉聽見我們正在重建城牆，就很忿怒，非常惱恨，並且譏諷猶大人。在他的兄弟和撒瑪利亞的軍隊面前，說：“這些軟弱的猶大人在作甚麼呢？想自己修築城牆嗎？想要獻祭嗎？想要在一天之內完成嗎？想要使廢土堆中被火燒過的石頭復活嗎？”亞捫人多比雅在參巴拉旁邊說：“這些人建造的，只要一隻狐狸走上去，石牆就崩塌。”“我們的神啊，求你垂聽，我們被藐視，求你使他們的毀謗歸到他們頭上，使他們在被擄之地成為掠物。不要遮蔽他們的罪孽，也不要從你面前塗抹他們的罪惡，因為他們在這些建造的人面前惹你發怒。”這樣，我們重建城牆，把全部城牆連接起來，城牆達到一半的高度，因為眾人都全心作工。（本章第1~6節《馬索拉文本》為3:33~38）當參巴拉、多比雅、阿拉伯人、亞捫人、亞實突人聽見耶路撒冷城牆重修工程仍然進行，已經堵塞城牆的缺口，就非常忿怒。（本節在《馬索拉文本》為4:1）

耶路撒冷的廢墟啊！你們要發聲，一同歡呼。因為耶和華安慰了他的子民，救贖了耶路撒冷。

耶和華這樣說：“在悅納的時候，我應允了你，在拯救的日子，我幫助了你；我要保護你，使你作人民的中保，復興那地，使人承受荒涼之地作產業，

你要知道，也要明白，從發出命令恢復和重建耶路撒冷，直到受膏君的時候，必有七個七；又有六十二個七（“必有七個七；又有六十二個七”或譯：“必有七個七和六十二個七”），耶路撒冷連廣場和濠溝，都必重新建造起來；那是一段困苦的時期。

參巴拉、多比雅、阿拉伯人基善和我們其餘的仇敵聽見我重建好了城牆，城牆再沒有破口。不過那時我還沒有在城門上裝上門扇。

因此，以色列的眾山啊！你們要聽主耶和華的話；主耶和華對大山、小岡、溪澗、山谷、荒涼的廢墟，被棄的城，就是曾被四圍列國中餘剩的人所劫掠、所譏笑的，這樣說：
