But whoever drinks from the water that I will give him will never get thirsty again. In fact, the water I will give him will become a well of water springing up in him for eternal life.”

He leads the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.

They will not hunger or thirst, the scorching heat or sun will not strike them; for their compassionate one will guide them, and lead them to springs.

I knew you in the wilderness, in the land of drought.

I will instruct you and show you the way to go; with my eye on you, I will give counsel.

You are a garden spring, a well of flowing water streaming from Lebanon.

You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me up in glory.

For he has satisfied the thirsty and filled the hungry with good things.

In famine he will redeem you from death, and in battle, from the power of the sword.

They will not be disgraced in times of adversity; they will be satisfied in days of hunger.

This will be healing for your body and strengthening for your bones.

They will still bear fruit in old age, healthy and green,

The slacker craves, yet has nothing, but the diligent is fully satisfied.

You who are his holy ones, fear the LORD, for those who fear him lack nothing.Young lions lack food and go hungry, but those who seek the LORD will not lack any good thing.

Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way to you.

he will dwell on the heights; his refuge will be the rocky fortresses, his food provided, his water assured.

For as the earth produces its growth, and as a garden enables what is sown to spring up, so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.

My brothers are as treacherous as a wadi, as seasonal streams that overflowand become darkened because of ice, and the snow melts into them.The wadis evaporate in warm weather; they disappear from their channels in hot weather.Caravans turn away from their routes, go up into the desert, and perish.The caravans of Tema look for these streams. The traveling merchants of Sheba hope for them.They are ashamed because they had been confident of finding water. When they arrive there, they are disappointed.
