The idols among the smooth stones of the ravines are your portion; indeed, they are your lot. Yes, to them you have poured out drink offerings and offered grain offerings. In view of all this, should I relent?

You have chosen some of the smooth stones in the valleys to be your gods. You have joined yourselves to them. You have even poured out drink offerings to them. You have given grain offerings to them. So why should I take pity on you?

Among the smooth stones of the valley is your portion; they, they, are your lot; to them you have poured out a drink offering, you have brought a grain offering. Shall I relent for these things?

Your gods are the smooth stones in the valleys. You worship them with liquid offerings and grain offerings. They, not I, are your inheritance. Do you think all this makes me happy?

Your portion is among the smooth stones of the wadi; indeed, they are your lot. You have even poured out a drink offering to them; you have offered a grain offering; should I be satisfied with these?

『至於你們呢、以色列家啊，主永恆主這麼說，你們只管去、各人服事他的偶像吧！以後呢、你們若不聽從我，也隨你們的便！只是我的聖名、你們卻不可再用你們的供品和偶像來褻瀆啊！

『嘿，宰牛的、殺人的、宰獻小羊的、打折狗脖子的、獻上素祭的、獻上豬血的、燒乳香為表樣的、祝頌「無有」之神的：嘿，這些人呢、選擇他們自己的路，他們心裏喜悅他們那些可憎惡的事。

永恆主發神諭說：我豈不因這些事而施察罰呢？這樣的國我豈不加以報復呢？

攻擊這城的迦勒底人必來，放火焚燒這城和它的房屋，因為在那些房頂上人曾燻祭獻與巴力，澆奠祭獻與別的神，來惹我發怒。

永恆主發神諭說：我豈不因這些事而施察罰呢？這樣的國、我豈不加以報復呢？』

耶路撒冷的房屋、和猶大列王的宮殿，就是一切房屋，人在那些房頂上向天上萬象燻祭或向別的神澆奠祭的，都必像陀斐特地方一樣地被沾污。」』

我們一定要實行我們口中所說出的一切話：向天后燻祭，澆奠祭，按着我們和我們列祖、我們的王和首領在猶大城市和耶路撒冷街上素常所行的一樣；那時我們喫飽飯，享福樂，不見災禍呀。自從我們停止了向天后燻祭、澆奠祭，我們倒缺乏了一切，又因刀劍饑荒而滅絕了。』婦女們說：『我們向天后燻祭，澆奠祭，難道沒有我們丈夫的同意就作天后像的祭餅去供奉她，向她澆奠祭麼？』耶利米對眾民男女，對那些用這種話回答他、的眾民說：『你們和你們列祖、你們的王和首領、以及國中之民、在猶大城市和耶路撒冷街上所燒的燻祭，永恆主哪能不記得，那事哪能不湧上他心頭呢？永恆主因你們行為之敗壞、因你們所行可厭惡的事、再也不能容忍，故此你們的地才荒廢，成了令人驚駭、令人咒詛的對象，沒有人居住、就如今日一樣。因為你們燻祭，因為你們犯罪得罪了永恆主，沒有聽永恆主的聲音，他的律法、條例、法度、你們都沒有遵行，故此這災禍才到了你們，就如今日一樣。』耶利米又對眾民和眾婦女說：『你們在埃及地所有的猶大人哪，要聽永恆主的話哦。萬軍之永恆主以色列之上帝這麼說：你們婦女們都口中說、手裏作成了說：「我們一定要實行我們所許的願：向天后燻祭，澆奠祭」！那麼只管立定你們許的願吧！只管實行你們許的願詞吧！

說：「他們的神、他們避難於其中的碞石、在哪裏呢？那些向來喫他們祭牲的脂肪、喝他們奠祭之酒的神在哪裏呢？讓他們興起來幫助你們吧！願他們護衛你們吧！

但你們呢，你們這些離棄永恆主，忘記了我的聖山，給迦得神擺筵席、給彌尼神盛滿調和之酒的，
