你们戏弄谁呢？你们张大嘴巴，伸长舌头戏弄谁呢？你们不是悖逆的孩子吗？不是虚谎的后裔吗？

你们在嘲笑谁呢？向谁张大嘴巴、伸长舌头呢？难道你们不是叛逆之子、虚谎之种吗？

你們戲弄誰呢？你們張大嘴巴，伸長舌頭戲弄誰呢？你們不是悖逆的孩子嗎？不是虛謊的後裔嗎？

你們挖苦誰？張大了口伸長舌頭戲弄誰呢？你們豈不是「悖逆」所生的，「虛假」之種呢？

你們在嘲笑誰呢？向誰張大嘴巴、伸長舌頭呢？難道你們不是叛逆之子、虛謊之種嗎？

爾戲謔誰乎、向誰張吻吐舌、爾曹豈非悖逆之子、詭詐之裔乎、

爾曹罪人、偽為妄作、張吻吐舌、欲侮何人。

爾戲笑誰、向誰張口伸舌、爾皆悖逆之子類、詭詐之徒眾、

Who are you mocking? At whom do you sneer and stick out your tongue? Are you not a brood of rebels, the offspring of liars?

Who are you making fun of? Who are you laughing at? Who are you sticking your tongue out at? You are people who refuse to obey me. You are just a bunch of liars!

Whom do you mock, making faces and sticking out your tongues? You children of sinners and liars!

Who are you mocking? Who are you opening your mouth and sticking out your tongue at? Isn’t it you, you rebellious children, you offspring of liars,

Of whom do you make fun? Against whom do you open wide your mouth And stick out your tongue? Are you not children of rebellion, Offspring of deceit,

Whom do you ridicule? Against whom do you make a wide mouth And stick out the tongue? Are you not children of transgression, Offspring of falsehood,

Against whom do ye sport yourselves? against whom make ye a wide mouth, and put out the tongue? are ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood,

Who is it you are mocking? Who is it you are opening your mouth and sticking out your tongue at? Isn’t it you, you rebellious children, you race of liars,

Against whom do ye sport yourselves? against whom make ye a wide mouth,[ and] draw out the tongue?[ are] ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood,

At whom are you laughing? At whom are you opening your mouth and sticking out your tongue? You are the children of rebels, the offspring of liars,

Whom do you mock? Against whom do you make a wide mouth and stick out your tongue? Aren’t you children of disobedience and offspring of falsehood,

suffering wrong as the wage for their wrongdoing. They count it pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, while they feast with you.

They open wide their mouths against me; they say,“ Aha, Aha! Our eyes have seen it!”

Ah, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, offspring of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the Lord, they have despised the Holy One of Israel, they are utterly estranged.

“‘ Whom have you mocked and reviled? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes to the heights? Against the Holy One of Israel!

then all the people returned safe to Joshua in the camp at Makkedah. Not a man moved his tongue against any of the people of Israel.

I can count all my bones— they stare and gloat over me;

All who pass along the way clap their hands at you; they hiss and wag their heads at the daughter of Jerusalem:“ Is this the city that was called the perfection of beauty, the joy of all the earth?”All your enemies rail against you; they hiss, they gnash their teeth, they cry:“ We have swallowed her! For he said,‘ I am the Son of God.’”And the robbers who were crucified with him also reviled him in the same way.

The descendants also are impudent and stubborn: I send you to them, and you shall say to them,‘ Thus says the Lord God.’

For they are a rebellious people, lying children, children unwilling to hear the instruction of the Lord;

Therefore it is against the Lord that you and all your company have gathered together. What is Aaron that you grumble against him?”

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

And when their hearts were merry, they said,“ Call Samson, that he may entertain us.” So they called Samson out of the prison, and he entertained them. They made him stand between the pillars.And Samson said to the young man who held him by the hand,“ Let me feel the pillars on which the house rests, that I may lean against them.”Now the house was full of men and women. All the lords of the Philistines were there, and on the roof there were about 3,000 men and women, who looked on while Samson entertained.

Because you have raged against me and your complacency has come to my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will turn you back on the way by which you came.’

“ The one who hears you hears me, and the one who rejects you rejects me, and the one who rejects me rejects him who sent me.”

and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying,“ Hail, King of the Jews!”

He has torn me in his wrath and hated me; he has gnashed his teeth at me; my adversary sharpens his eyes against me.Men have gaped at me with their mouth; they have struck me insolently on the cheek; they mass themselves together against me.

“ Ah, stubborn children,” declares the Lord,“ who carry out a plan, but not mine, and who make an alliance, but not of my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin;

and in the morning you shall see the glory of the Lord, because he has heard your grumbling against the Lord. For what are we, that you grumble against us?”And Moses said,“ When the Lord gives you in the evening meat to eat and in the morning bread to the full, because the Lord has heard your grumbling that you grumble against him— what are we? Your grumbling is not against us but against the Lord.”

On account of these the wrath of God is coming.

All who see me mock me; they make mouths at me; they wag their heads;

Shall the axe boast over him who hews with it, or the saw magnify itself against him who wields it? As if a rod should wield him who lifts it, or as if a staff should lift him who is not wood!

I am the talk of those who sit in the gate, and the drunkards make songs about me.

From the days of Gibeah, you have sinned, O Israel; there they have continued. Shall not the war against the unjust overtake them in Gibeah?

in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience—among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.

The field is the world, and the good seed is the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one,

You are still exalting yourself against my people and will not let them go.

they open wide their mouths at me, like a ravening and roaring lion.

And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him,“ Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?”
