彼貪財貨、干我震怒、扑之遠之、彼乃乖戾、不更厥志。

I was enraged by their sinful greed; I punished them, and hid my face in anger, yet they kept on in their willful ways.

I was very angry with them. They always longed for more and more of everything. So I punished them for that sin. I turned my face away from them because I was angry. But they kept on wanting their own way.

Because of the iniquity of his unjust gain I was angry, I struck him; I hid my face and was angry, but he went on backsliding in the way of his own heart.

I was angry, so I punished these greedy people. I withdrew from them, but they kept going on their own stubborn way.

這些狗貪食，不知飽足。這些牧人不能明白－各人偏行己路，各從各方求自己的利益。

因為他們從最小的到至大的都一味地貪婪，從先知到祭司都行事虛謊。

至於淫亂並一切污穢，或是貪婪，在你們中間連提都不可，方合聖徒的體統。淫詞、妄語，和戲笑的話都不相宜；總要說感謝的話。因為你們確實地知道，無論是淫亂的，是污穢的，是有貪心的，在基督和神的國裏都是無分的。有貪心的，就與拜偶像的一樣。

我責打你們的兒女是徒然的，他們不受懲治。你們自己的刀吞滅你們的先知，好像殘害的獅子。

惟有你的眼和你的心專顧貪婪，流無辜人的血，行欺壓和強暴。

所以我必將他們的妻子給別人，將他們的田地給別人為業；因為他們從最小的到至大的都一味地貪婪，從先知到祭司都行事虛謊。

於是對眾人說：「你們要謹慎自守，免去一切的貪心，因為人的生命不在乎家道豐富。」

嗐！犯罪的國民，擔着罪孽的百姓；行惡的種類，敗壞的兒女！他們離棄耶和華，藐視以色列的聖者，與他生疏，往後退步。

既耗盡了一切所有的，又遇着那地方大遭饑荒，就窮苦起來。於是去投靠那地方的一個人；那人打發他到田裏去放豬。他恨不得拿豬所吃的豆莢充飢，也沒有人給他。

禍哉！那些以房接房，以地連地，以致不留餘地的，只顧自己獨居境內。我耳聞萬軍之耶和華說：必有許多又大又美的房屋成為荒涼，無人居住。

他們來到你這裏如同民來聚會，坐在你面前彷彿是我的民。他們聽你的話卻不去行；因為他們的口多顯愛情，心卻追隨財利。

耶和華啊，你的眼目不是看顧誠實嗎？你擊打他們，他們卻不傷慟；你毀滅他們，他們仍不受懲治。他們使臉剛硬過於磐石，不肯回頭。

他們貪圖田地就佔據，貪圖房屋便奪取；他們欺壓人，霸佔房屋和產業。所以耶和華如此說：我籌劃災禍降與這族；這禍在你們的頸項上不能解脫；你們也不能昂首而行，因為這時勢是惡的。

我要等候那掩面不顧雅各家的耶和華；我也要仰望他。

他們因有貪心，要用捏造的言語在你們身上取利。他們的刑罰，自古以來並不遲延；他們的滅亡也必速速來到。

但那些想要發財的人，就陷在迷惑、落在網羅和許多無知有害的私慾裏，叫人沉在敗壞和滅亡中。

眼睛所看的比心裏妄想的倒好。這也是虛空，也是捕風。

這百姓還沒有歸向擊打他們的主，也沒有尋求萬軍之耶和華。

所以，要治死你們在地上的肢體，就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾，和貪婪（貪婪就與拜偶像一樣）。

他們滿眼是淫色，止不住犯罪，引誘那心不堅固的人，心中習慣了貪婪，正是被咒詛的種類。

救主－以色列的神啊，你實在是自隱的神。
