For this is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever, whose name is holy:“ I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.

因為那崇高又高聳的這麼說，那住「永恆」、其名為聖者說：『我住崇高而至聖的所在，也跟心靈痛悔而謙卑的人同住，要使謙卑人的靈活起來，使痛悔之人的心復活。

那至高至尊、永遠長存、名為至聖者的如此說：「我住在至高至聖的地方，也與靈裡痛悔的人和謙卑的人同在，使謙卑的人靈裡復甦，使痛悔的人心裡復甦。

巍巍在上、永永其居、名為聖者曰、我居高而且聖之所、且與痛悔謙冲之人偕居、以蘇謙冲者之神、而暢痛悔者之心、

我永生之主、至聖至高、居聖所、坐高位、凡謙卑遜順者、我與偕居、活潑其心神、暢快其意志。

至高至上永生、名為聖主者如是云、我雖居至高聖所、亦與痛悔者虛心者偕居、使謙卑者心蘇、使痛悔者心蘇、

The God who is highly honored lives forever. His name is holy. He says,“ I live in a high and holy place. But I also live with anyone who turns away from their sins. I live with anyone who is not proud. I give new life to them. I give it to anyone who turns away from their sins.

For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:“ I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

The high and lofty one who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this:“ I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.

For the High and Exalted One, who lives forever, whose name is holy, says this:“ I live in a high and holy place, and with the oppressed and lowly of spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and revive the heart of the oppressed.

For this is what the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, says:“ I dwell in a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.

For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:“ I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, says:“ I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

This is what the Lord says:“ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the Lord.“ These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.

Who among the gods is like you, Lord? Who is like you— majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?

Though the Lord is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly; though lofty, he sees them from afar.

At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever. His dominion is an eternal dominion; his kingdom endures from generation to generation.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemies before you, saying,‘ Destroy them!’

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities— his eternal power and divine nature— have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Let them know that you, whose name is the Lord— that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.

“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

for the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is his name.

The Lord is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens.Who is like the Lord our God, the One who sits enthroned on high,who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?

Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

Your throne was established long ago; you are from all eternity.

who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.

“ There is no one holy like the Lord; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.

I lift up my eyes to you, to you who sit enthroned in heaven.

Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him.

Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before God when you heard what he spoke against this place and its people, and because you humbled yourself before me and tore your robes and wept in my presence, I have heard you, declares the Lord.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

Who will not fear you, Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”

I was formed long ages ago, at the very beginning, when the world came to be.

But the Lord is the true God; he is the living God, the eternal King. When he is angry, the earth trembles; the nations cannot endure his wrath.

Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before him— his name is the Lord.A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.

And they were calling to one another:“ Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”

See, my servant will act wisely; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.

“ But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”

For you, Lord, are the Most High over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods.

My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.

“ To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

In his distress he sought the favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his ancestors.And when he prayed to him, the Lord was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea; so he brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God.

Then I would still have this consolation— my joy in unrelenting pain— that I had not denied the words of the Holy One.

In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,“ God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

He provided redemption for his people; he ordained his covenant forever— holy and awesome is his name.

Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying:“‘ Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,’ who was, and is, and is to come.”

Let them praise your great and awesome name— he is holy.

But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:“ God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

and said to him,“ Go throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament over all the detestable things that are done in it.”

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple.

How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

Then, when I make atonement for you for all you have done, you will remember and be ashamed and never again open your mouth because of your humiliation, declares the Sovereign Lord.’”

“ But will God really dwell on earth? The heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built!

Be still before the Lord, all mankind, because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.”

But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus,

“ This is the interpretation, Your Majesty, and this is the decree the Most High has issued against my lord the king:You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like the ox and be drenched with the dew of heaven. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes.

Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.

who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

“‘ The decision is announced by messengers, the holy ones declare the verdict, so that the living may know that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of people.’

You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you.

So he got up and went to his father.“ But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.“ The son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’“ But the father said to his servants,‘ Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate.For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.

Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there he called on the name of the Lord, the Eternal God.
