I was once alive apart from the Law; but when the commandment came, sin came to life, and I died;

Now during the time of his distress, this same King Ahaz became even more unfaithful to the Lord.For he sacrificed to the gods of Damascus who had defeated him, and said,“ Because the gods of the kings of Aram helped them, I will sacrifice to them so that they may help me.” But they became the downfall of him and all Israel.

She has wearied Me with work, Yet her great rust has not gone from her; Let her rust be in the fire!
