Blessed is the person who does what I want them to. They are faithful in keeping the Sabbath day. They do not misuse it. They do not do what is evil on that day.”

Blessed are all those who are careful to do this. Blessed are those who honor my Sabbath days of rest and keep themselves from doing wrong.

Happy is the person who does this, the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.

Blessed is a man who does this, And a son of man who takes hold of it; Who keeps from profaning the Sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that holdeth it fast; that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

Happy is the man who does this, anyone who maintains this, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.

The people who do this will be blessed, the people who commit themselves to obedience, who observe the Sabbath and do not defile it, who refrain from doing anything that is wrong.

“ If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, From doing your pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the Lord honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking your own words,

Thus says the Lord:“ Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the Sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;nor carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath day, nor do any work, but hallow the Sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.

hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.’

“ Speak also to the children of Israel, saying:‘ surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.

Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.

Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments.

But He said,“ More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

“ Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill?He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart;He who does not backbite with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend;In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the Lord; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change;He who does not put out his money at usury, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.

In mercy and truth Atonement is provided for iniquity; And by the fear of the Lord one departs from evil.

Depart from evil, and do good; And dwell forevermore.

Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said to them,“ What evil thing is this that you do, by which you profane the Sabbath day?

‘ You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary: I am the Lord.

A wise man fears and departs from evil, But a fool rages and is self-confident.

Do not turn to the right or the left; Remove your foot from evil.

Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

“ Also the sons of the foreigner Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him, And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants— Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And holds fast My covenant—

I have restrained my feet from every evil way, That I may keep Your word.

Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord!Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart!They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways.You have commanded us To keep Your precepts diligently.Oh, that my ways were directed To keep Your statutes!

For thus says the Lord:“ To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold fast My covenant,

Blessed are those who keep justice, And he who does righteousness at all times!

Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; Keep her, for she is your life.

The highway of the upright is to depart from evil; He who keeps his way preserves his soul.

but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.

Blessed is every one who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways.

It is good that you grasp this, And also not remove your hand from the other; For he who fears God will escape them all.

Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.

Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
