Blessed is the person who does what I want them to. They are faithful in keeping the Sabbath day. They do not misuse it. They do not do what is evil on that day.”

谨守安息日而不干犯，禁止己手而不作恶；如此行、如此持守的人便为有福。”

Blessed is the one who does this— the person who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps their hands from doing any evil.”

Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath, not profaning it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Blessed are all those who are careful to do this. Blessed are those who honor my Sabbath days of rest and keep themselves from doing wrong.

Happy is the person who does this, the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.

Blessed is a man who does this, And a son of man who takes hold of it; Who keeps from profaning the Sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Blessed is the man who does this, And the son of man who lays hold on it; Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that holdeth it fast; that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

Happy is the man who does this, anyone who maintains this, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.

Blessed[ is] the man[ that] doeth this, and the son of man[ that] layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

The people who do this will be blessed, the people who commit themselves to obedience, who observe the Sabbath and do not defile it, who refrain from doing anything that is wrong.

Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast; who keeps the Sabbath without profaning it and keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

“ Do not work on the Sabbath day. Do not do just anything you want to on my holy day. Make the Sabbath a day you can enjoy. Honor the Lord’ s holy day. Do not work on it. Do not do just anything you want to. Do not talk about things that are worthless.

The Lord says,“ Make sure you do not carry a load on the Sabbath day. Do not bring it through the gates of Jerusalem.Do not bring a load out of your houses on the Sabbath day. Do not do any work on that day. Instead, keep the Sabbath day holy. Do as I commanded your people of long ago.

Keep my Sabbath days holy. That is the sign of the covenant I made with you. You will know that I am the Lord your God.’

He said,“ Tell the people of Israel,‘ You must always keep my Sabbath days. That will be the sign of the covenant I have made between me and you for all time to come. Then you will know that I am the Lord. I am the one who makes you holy.“‘ Keep the Sabbath day. It is holy to you. Those who misuse it must be put to death. Those who do any work on that day must be separated from their people.Do your work in six days. But the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest. You must rest on it. It is set apart for the Lord. Those who work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.The Israelites must keep the Sabbath day. They must celebrate it for all time to come. It will be a covenant that lasts forever.

I also told them to observe my Sabbath days. That is the sign of the covenant I made with them. I wanted them to know that I made them holy. I am the Lord.

Praise the Lord. Blessed are those who have respect for the Lord. They find great delight when they obey God’s commands.

He replied,“ Instead, blessed are those who hear God’s word and obey it.”

Now you know these things. So you will be blessed if you do them.

Blessed is the person who obeys the law of the Lord. They don’t follow the advice of evil people. They don’t make a habit of doing what sinners do. They don’t join those who make fun of the Lord and his law.Instead, the law of the Lord gives them joy. They think about his law day and night.That kind of person is like a tree that is planted near a stream of water. It always bears its fruit at the right time. Its leaves don’t dry up. Everything godly people do turns out well.

“ Remember to keep the Sabbath day holy.

Lord, who can live in your sacred tent? Who can stay on your holy mountain?Anyone who lives without blame and does what is right. They speak the truth from their heart.They don’t tell lies about other people. They don’t do wrong to their neighbors. They don’t say anything bad about them.They hate evil people. But they honor those who have respect for the Lord. They keep their promises even when it hurts. They do not change their mind.They lend their money to poor people without charging interest. They don’t accept money to harm those who aren’t guilty. Anyone who lives like that will always be secure.

Through love and truth sin is paid for. People avoid evil when they have respect for the Lord.

Turn away from evil and do good. Then you will live in the land forever.

I gave a warning to the nobles of Judah. I said,“ Why are you doing such an evil thing? You are misusing the Sabbath day!

“‘ You must always keep my Sabbath days. Have respect for my sacred tent. I am the Lord.

A wise person has respect for the Lord and avoids evil. But a foolish person has a bad temper and yet feels secure.

Don’t turn to the right or left. Keep your feet from the path of evil.

“ Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will have the right to come to the tree of life. They will be allowed to go through the gates into the city.

“ Suppose outsiders want to follow me and serve me. They want to love me and worship me. They keep the Sabbath day and do not misuse it. And they are faithful in keeping my covenant.

I’ve kept my feet from every path that sinners take so that I might obey your word.

Blessed are those who live without blame. They live in keeping with the law of the Lord.Blessed are those who obey his covenant laws. They trust in him with all their hearts.They don’t do anything wrong. They live as he wants them to live.You have given me rules that I must obey completely.I hope I will always stand firm in following your orders.

The Lord says,“ Suppose some eunuchs keep my Sabbath days. They choose to do what pleases me. And they are faithful in keeping my covenant.

Blessed are those who always do what is fair. Blessed are those who keep doing what is right.

Hold on to my teaching and don’t let it go. Guard it well, because it is your life.

The path of honest people takes them away from evil. Those who guard their ways guard their lives.

But the seventh day is a sabbath to honor the Lord your God. Do not do any work on that day. The same command applies to your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, and your animals. It also applies to any outsiders who live in your towns.

Blessed are all those who have respect for the Lord. They live as he wants them to live.

It’s good to hold on to both of those things. Don’t let go of either one. Whoever has respect for God will avoid going too far in either direction.

Turn away from evil, and do good. Look for peace, and go after it.

It will be good for the servant if the master finds him doing his job when the master returns.

Love must be honest and true. Hate what is evil. Hold on to what is good.
