Blessed is the person who does what I want them to. They are faithful in keeping the Sabbath day. They do not misuse it. They do not do what is evil on that day.”

Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath, not profaning it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Blessed are all those who are careful to do this. Blessed are those who honor my Sabbath days of rest and keep themselves from doing wrong.

Happy is the person who does this, the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.

Blessed is a man who does this, And a son of man who takes hold of it; Who keeps from profaning the Sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

The people who do this will be blessed, the people who commit themselves to obedience, who observe the Sabbath and do not defile it, who refrain from doing anything that is wrong.

If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath,[ from] doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking[ thine own] words:

Thus saith the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring[ it] in by the gates of Jerusalem;Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.

And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I[ am] the LORD your God.

Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it[ is] a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that[ ye] may know that I[ am] the LORD that doth sanctify you.Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it[ is] holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth[ any] work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.Six days may work be done; but in the seventh[ is] the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth[ any] work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations,[ for] a perpetual covenant.

Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I[ am] the LORD that sanctify them.

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed[ is] the man[ that] feareth the LORD,[ that] delighteth greatly in his commandments.

But he said, Yea rather, blessed[ are] they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

Blessed[ is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.But his delight[ is] in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.[ He that] backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD.[ He that] sweareth to[ his own] hurt, and changeth not.[ He that] putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these[ things] shall never be moved.

By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD[ men] depart from evil.

Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing[ is] this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?

Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I[ am] the LORD.

A wise[ man] feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.

Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

Blessed[ are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

ALEPH. Blessed[ are] the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.Blessed[ are] they that keep his testimonies,[ and that] seek him with the whole heart.They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.Thou hast commanded[ us] to keep thy precepts diligently.O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!

For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose[ the things] that please me, and take hold of my covenant;

Blessed[ are] they that keep judgment,[ and] he that doeth righteousness at all times.

Take fast hold of instruction; let[ her] not go: keep her; for she[ is] thy life.

The highway of the upright[ is] to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.

But the seventh day[ is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God:[ in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that[ is] within thy gates:

Blessed[ is] every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.

[ It is] good that thou shouldest take hold of this; yea, also from this withdraw not thine hand: for he that feareth God shall come forth of them all.

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

Blessed[ is] that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

[ Let] love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
