Blessed is the one who does this— the person who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps their hands from doing any evil.”

Blessed is the person who does what I want them to. They are faithful in keeping the Sabbath day. They do not misuse it. They do not do what is evil on that day.”

Blessed are all those who are careful to do this. Blessed are those who honor my Sabbath days of rest and keep themselves from doing wrong.

Happy is the person who does this, the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.

Blessed is a man who does this, And a son of man who takes hold of it; Who keeps from profaning the Sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that holdeth it fast; that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

Happy is the man who does this, anyone who maintains this, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.

The people who do this will be blessed, the people who commit themselves to obedience, who observe the Sabbath and do not defile it, who refrain from doing anything that is wrong.

“ If you turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight and the holy day of the Lord honorable; if you honor it, not going your own ways, or seeking your own pleasure, or talking idly;

Thus says the Lord: Take care for the sake of your lives, and do not bear a burden on the Sabbath day or bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem.And do not carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath or do any work, but keep the Sabbath day holy, as I commanded your fathers.

and keep my Sabbaths holy that they may be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.’

“ You are to speak to the people of Israel and say,‘ Above all you shall keep my Sabbaths, for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I, the Lord, sanctify you.You shall keep the Sabbath, because it is holy for you. Everyone who profanes it shall be put to death. Whoever does any work on it, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall be put to death.Therefore the people of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a covenant forever.

Moreover, I gave them my Sabbaths, as a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.

Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments!

But he said,“ Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

“ Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

O Lord, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill?He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart;who does not slander with his tongue and does no evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend;in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but who honors those who fear the Lord; who swears to his own hurt and does not change;who does not put out his money at interest and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.

By steadfast love and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the Lord one turns away from evil.

Turn away from evil and do good; so shall you dwell forever.

Then I confronted the nobles of Judah and said to them,“ What is this evil thing that you are doing, profaning the Sabbath day?

You shall keep my Sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.

One who is wise is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is reckless and careless.

Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.

“ And the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord, to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord, and to be his servants, everyone who keeps the Sabbath and does not profane it, and holds fast my covenant—

I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep your word.

Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord!Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart,who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways!You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently.Oh that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes!

For thus says the Lord:“ To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, who choose the things that please me and hold fast my covenant,

Blessed are they who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times!

Keep hold of instruction; do not let go; guard her, for she is your life.

The highway of the upright turns aside from evil; whoever guards his way preserves his life.

but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates.

Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways!

It is good that you should take hold of this, and from that withhold not your hand, for the one who fears God shall come out from both of them.

Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
