This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:“ I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow.

For I will not fight against you forever; I will not always be angry. If I were, all people would pass away— all the souls I have made.I was angry, so I punished these greedy people. I withdrew from them, but they kept going on their own stubborn way.

For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

Truly, O God of Israel, our Savior, you work in mysterious ways.
