Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed,[ saying],Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh[ himself] with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth[ herself] with her jewels.

For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given[ me] the heritage of those that fear thy name.

Thy righteousness also, O God,[ is] very high, who hast done great things: O God, who[ is] like unto thee!

For Christ[ is] the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.For the wages of sin[ is] death; but the gift of God[ is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness,[ even] of thine only.

And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee:[ is] not this a brand plucked out of the fire?Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

[ Is] not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite?For thou hast taken a pledge from thy brother for nought, and stripped the naked of their clothing.Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.But[ as for] the mighty man, he had the earth; and the honourable man dwelt in it.Thou hast sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.Therefore snares[ are] round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;Or darkness,[ that] thou canst not see; and abundance of waters cover thee.[ Is] not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?Thick clouds[ are] a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood:Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?Yet he filled their houses with good[ things]: but the counsel of the wicked is far from me.The righteous see[ it], and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to scorn.Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the[ gold] of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.When[ men] are cast down, then thou shalt say,[ There is] lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.

But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
