“ Afflicted city, lashed by storms and not comforted, I will rebuild you with stones of turquoise, your foundations with lapis lazuli.

“ Suffering city, you have been beaten by storms. You have not been comforted. I will rebuild you with turquoise stones. I will rebuild your foundations with lapis lazuli.

“ O afflicted one, storm-tossed and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in antimony, and lay your foundations with sapphires.

“ O storm battered city, troubled and desolate! I will rebuild you with precious jewels and make your foundations from lapis lazuli.

“ Poor Jerusalem, storm-tossed, and not comforted, I will set your stones in black mortar, and lay your foundations in lapis lazuli.

“ O you afflicted one, Tossed with tempest, and not comforted, Behold, I will lay your stones with colorful gems, And lay your foundations with sapphires.

O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will set thy stones in fair colors, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.

“ Poor Jerusalem, storm-tossed, and not comforted, I will set your stones in black mortar, and lay your foundations in sapphires.

O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest,[ and] not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.

“ O afflicted one, driven away, and unconsoled! Look, I am about to set your stones in antimony and I lay your foundation with lapis-lazuli.

“ You afflicted, tossed with storms, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in beautiful colors, and lay your foundations with sapphires.

And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by people, but is choice and precious in the sight of God,you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.For this is contained in Scripture:“ Behold, I am laying in Zion a choice stone, a precious cornerstone, And the one who believes in Him will not be put to shame.”

Now with all my ability I have provided for the house of my God the gold for the things of gold, the silver for the things of silver, the bronze for the things of bronze, the iron for the things of iron, wood for the things of wood, onyx stones and inlaid stones, stones of antimony and stones of various colors, and all kinds of precious stones and alabaster in abundance.

For I will restore you to health And I will heal you of your wounds,’ declares the Lord,‘ Because they have called you an outcast, saying:“ It is Zion; no one cares for her.” ’

Truly, truly I say to you that you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy!Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one is going to take your joy away from you.

But Zion said,“ The Lord has abandoned me, And the Lord has forgotten me.”

The afflictions of the righteous are many, But the Lord rescues him from them all.

And behold, a violent storm developed on the sea, so that the boat was being covered by the waves; but Jesus Himself was asleep.

For these things I weep; My eyes run down with water; Because far from me is a comforter, One to restore my soul. My children are desolate Because the enemy has prevailed.”Zion stretches out with her hands; There is no one to comfort her; The Lord has commanded regarding Jacob That those around him become his adversaries; Jerusalem has become a filthy thing among them.

In the twenty fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was taken, on this very day the hand of the Lord was upon me and He brought me there.In the visions of God He brought me into the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain, and on it to the south there was something like a structure of a city.So He brought me there; and behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, with a thread of flax and a measuring rod in his hand; and he was standing in the gateway.And the man said to me,“ Son of man, see with your eyes, hear with your ears, and pay attention to all that I am going to show you; for you have been brought here in order to show it to you. Declare to the house of Israel all that you see.”And behold, there was a wall on the outside of the temple all around, and in the man’s hand was a measuring rod of six cubits, each of which was a cubit and a hand width. So he measured the thickness of the wall, one rod; and the height, one rod.Then he went to the gate which faced east, went up its steps, and measured the threshold of the gate, one rod in width; and the other threshold was one rod in width.The guardroom was one rod long and one rod wide; and there were five cubits between the guardrooms. And the threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate facing inward was one rod.Then he measured the porch of the gate facing inward, one rod.And he measured the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and its side pillars, two cubits. And the porch of the gate was faced inward.The guardrooms of the gate toward the east numbered three on each side; the three of them had the same measurement. The side pillars also had the same measurement on each side.And he measured the width of the gateway, ten cubits, and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits.There was a barrier wall one cubit wide in front of the guardrooms on each side; and the guardrooms were six cubits square on each side.And he measured the gate from the roof of the one guardroom to the roof of the other, a width of twenty five cubits, from one door to the door opposite.He made the side pillars sixty cubits high; the gate extended all around to the side pillar of the courtyard.And from the front of the entrance gate to the front of the inner porch of the gate was fifty cubits.And there were shuttered windows looking toward the guardrooms, and toward their side pillars within the gate all around, and likewise for the porches. And there were windows all around inside; and on each side pillar were palm tree decorations.Then he brought me into the outer courtyard, and behold, there were chambers and a stone pavement made for the courtyard all around; thirty chambers faced the pavement.And the pavement( that is, the lower pavement) was by the side of the gates, corresponding to the length of the gates.Then he measured the width from the front of the lower gate to the front of the exterior of the inner courtyard, a hundred cubits on the east and on the north.And as for the gate of the outer courtyard which faced north, he measured its length and its width.It had three guardrooms on each side; and its side pillars and its porches had the same measurement as the first gate. Its length was fifty cubits, and the width twenty five cubits.Its windows, its porches, and its palm tree decorations had the same measurements as the gate which faced east; and it was reached by seven steps, and its porch was in front of them.The inner courtyard had a gate opposite the gate on the north as well as the gate on the east; and he measured a hundred cubits from gate to gate.Then he led me toward the south, and behold, there was a gate toward the south; and he measured its side pillars and its porches according to those same measurements.The gate and its porches had windows all around like those other windows; the length was fifty cubits and the width, twenty five cubits.There were seven steps going up to it, and its porches were in front of them; and it had palm tree decorations on its side pillars, one on each side.The inner courtyard had a gate toward the south; and he measured from gate to gate toward the south, a hundred cubits.Then he brought me to the inner courtyard by the south gate; and he measured the south gate according to those same measurements.Its guardrooms also, its side pillars, and its porches were according to those same measurements. And the gate and its porches had windows all around; it was fifty cubits long and twenty five cubits wide.There were porches all around, twenty five cubits long and five cubits wide.And its porches were toward the outer courtyard; and palm tree decorations were on its side pillars, and its stairway had eight steps.Then he brought me into the inner courtyard toward the east. And he measured the gate according to those same measurements.Its guardrooms also, its side pillars, and its porches were according to those same measurements. And the gate and its porches had windows all around; it was fifty cubits long and twenty five cubits wide.Its porches were toward the outer courtyard; and palm tree decorations were on its side pillars, on each side, and its stairway had eight steps.Then he brought me to the north gate; and he measured it according to those same measurements,with its guardrooms, its side pillars, and its porches. And the gate had windows all around; the length was fifty cubits and the width twenty five cubits.And its side pillars were toward the outer courtyard; and palm tree decorations were on its side pillars, on each side, and its stairway had eight steps.A chamber with its doorway was by the side pillars at the gates; there they rinse the burnt offering.And in the porch of the gate were two tables on each side, on which to slaughter the burnt offering, the sin offering, and the guilt offering.On the outer side, as one went up to the gateway toward the north, were two tables; and on the other side of the porch of the gate were two tables.Four tables were on each side next to the gate; eight tables on which they slaughter sacrifices.For the burnt offering there were four tables of cut stone, a cubit and a half long, a cubit and a half wide, and one cubit high, on which they set the utensils with which they slaughter the burnt offering and the sacrifice.

Now above the expanse that was over their heads there was something resembling a throne, like lapis lazuli in appearance; and on that which resembled a throne, high up, was a figure with the appearance of a man.

Then My anger will be kindled against them on that day, and I will abandon them and hide My face from them, and they will be consumed, and many evils and troubles will find them; so they will say on that day,‘ Is it not because our God is not among us that these evils have found us?’

I will put it into the hand of your tormentors, Who have said to you,‘ Lie down so that we may walk over you.’ You have also made your back like the ground, And like the street for those who walk over it.”Awake, awake, Clothe yourself in your strength, Zion; Clothe yourself with your beautiful garments, Jerusalem, the holy city; For the uncircumcised and the unclean Will no longer come into you.Shake yourself from the dust, rise up, Captive Jerusalem; Release yourself from the chains around your neck, Captive daughter of Zion.For this is what the Lord says:“ You were sold for nothing, and you will be redeemed without money.”For this is what the Lord God says:“ My people went down to Egypt first to reside there; then the Assyrian oppressed them without reason.And now, what do I have here,” declares the Lord,“ seeing that My people have been taken away without reason?” Again the Lord declares,“ Those who rule over them howl, and My name is continually reviled all day long.

Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage ascended to God.

And the Lord said,“ I have certainly seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their outcry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings.

For the Lord has called you, Like a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, Even like a wife of one’s youth when she is rejected,” Says your God.

and they saw the God of Israel; and under His feet there appeared to be a pavement of sapphire, as clear as the sky itself.

strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying,“ It is through many tribulations that we must enter the kingdom of God.”

What answer will one give the messengers of the nation? That the Lord has founded Zion, And the poor of His people will take refuge in it.”

How lonely sits the city That once had many people! She has become like a widow Who was once great among the nations! She who was a princess among the provinces Has become a forced laborer!She weeps bitterly in the night, And her tears are on her cheeks; She has no one to comfort her Among all her lovers. All her friends have dealt treacherously with her; They have become her enemies.

“ Many times they have attacked me from my youth up,” Let Israel say,“ Many times they have attacked me from my youth up; Yet they have not prevailed against me.The plowers plowed upon my back; They lengthened their furrows.”

Then the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not being consumed.

Therefore, listen to this, you afflicted, Who are drunk, but not with wine:

And you shall mount on it four rows of stones; the first row shall be a row of ruby, topaz, and emerald;and the second row a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond;and the third row a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;and the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper; they shall be set in gold filigree.

The material of the wall was jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.The foundation stones of the city wall were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald;the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst.And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

Then the king issued orders, and they quarried large stones, valuable stones, to lay the foundation of the house with cut stones.

Pull yourself up! Pull yourself up! Arise, Jerusalem! You who have drunk from the Lord’s hand the cup of His anger; The chalice of staggering you have drunk to the dregs.There is no one to guide her among all the sons to whom she has given birth, Nor is there anyone to take her by the hand among all the sons she has raised.These two things have happened to you; Who will mourn for you? The devastation and destruction, famine and sword; How shall I comfort you?

And they mounted four rows of stones on it. The first row was a row of ruby, topaz, and emerald;and the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond;and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were set in gold filigree settings when they were mounted.The stones corresponded to the names of the sons of Israel; they were twelve, corresponding to their names, engraved with the engravings of a signet, each with its name for the twelve tribes.

Therefore this is what the Lord God says:“ Behold, I am laying a stone in Zion, a tested stone, A precious cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. The one who believes in it will not be disturbed.

And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child.But the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place, where she* was nourished for a time, times, and half a time, away from the presence of the serpent.And the serpent hurled water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood.But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon had hurled out of his mouth.So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone,

And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.”These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.And if anyone wants to harm them, fire flows out of their mouth and devours their enemies; and so if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way.These have the power to shut up the sky, so that rain will not fall during the days of their prophesying; and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them.And their dead bodies will lie on the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.Those from the peoples, tribes, languages, and nations will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not allow their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb.And those who live on the earth will rejoice over them and celebrate; and they will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who live on the earth.

They have heard that I groan; There is no one to comfort me, All my enemies have heard of my disaster; They are joyful that You have done it. Oh, that You would bring the day which You have proclaimed, So that they will become like me.

The next day as we were being violently tossed by the storm, they began to jettison the cargo;and on the third day they threw the ship’s tackle overboard with their own hands.Since neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no small storm was assailing us, from then on all hope of our being saved was slowly abandoned.

“ Whereas you have been forsaken and hated With no one passing through, I will make you an object of pride forever, A joy from generation to generation.

These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

His hands are rods of gold Set with topaz; His abdomen is panels of ivory Covered with sapphires.

Then I looked, and behold, in the expanse that was over the heads of the cherubim something like a sapphire stone, in appearance resembling a throne, appeared above them.
