你們舉目仰望穹蒼，俯首觀看大地吧。穹蒼必像煙雲消散，大地必像衣服一樣漸漸破舊，地上的居民必像蚊蠅一樣死亡。但我的救恩永遠長存，我的公義永不廢除。認識公義、銘記我訓誨的人啊，聽我說。你們不要害怕人的辱罵，也不要畏懼他們的譭謗。

但我不會收回我的慈愛，也不會背棄我的信實。我必不毀約，也不食言。

我與他所立的是生命和平安之約，我將生命和平安賜給他，使他心存敬畏。他就尊崇我，敬畏我的名。

我盛怒之下暫時掩面不理你，但我要以永遠不變的慈愛憐憫你。這是你的救贖主耶和華說的。

願賜平安的上帝，就是那位憑著立永恆之約的血使群羊的大牧人——我主耶穌從死裡復活的上帝，在各樣善事上成全你們，好使你們遵行祂的旨意，並藉著主耶穌在你們心中動工，使你們做祂喜悅的事！願榮耀歸給上帝，直到永永遠遠。阿們！

不過，主再來的日子要像賊一樣突然臨到。那日，諸天必在一聲巨響中消失，有形有質的都要被烈火焚毀，大地和其中的一切將不復存在。一切都要這樣被焚毀，你們在熱切等候上帝來臨的日子期間，該怎樣過聖潔、敬虔的生活啊！因為到那日，天要被火焚毀，有形有質的都要被烈火熔化燒盡。

他們不再饑渴，也不再被熱風和烈日灼傷，因為憐憫他們的那位必引導他們，領他們到泉水邊。

我的家在上帝面前不正是如此嗎？上帝與我立下永遠的約，這約穩妥可靠。祂必拯救我，成全我的願望。

我實在告訴你們，就是到天地都消失了，律法的一點一劃都不會廢除，全都要成就。

我告訴你，你是彼得，我要在這磐石上建立我的教會，陰間的勢力不能勝過它。

藉著重生之洗和聖靈的更新拯救了我們，這並非因為我們有義行，而是因為祂的憐憫。
