We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

爾素如歧路之羊、今歸爾司牧監督、

昔基督欲導我儕、至上帝前、其為人罪受苦、以義代不義、身死而賴聖神復生、

予迷於歧途、譬彼亡羊、請爾追僕、蓋爾之誡命、僕不敢忘兮。

耶穌者、為我過而被解、復生而使我得稱義、是也、

如經云、悉無義人、無人曉悟、無人求上帝、皆棄正就邪、未有行仁者、厥喉似破塋、其舌施詭詐、其唇藏蝮毒、滿口咒詛惡言、欲屠人血、而足疾趨、所過殘害、不由平康、心目中不畏上帝、吾儕知律法所言、指法下人言之、以塞諸口、使舉世服罪於上帝前、

當知使罪人去邪反正、則可救一人弗死、且可蓋其愆也、

彼甚饕餮、不知饜足、譬彼愚蠢之牧人、無一不縱己欲、不顧私利。

耶穌設譬曰、爾曹有百羊、而亡其一、孰不姑舍九十九羊於野、而追其亡至於獲乎、獲則喜、肩之以歸、會其友鄰曰亡羊既獲、與我同樂、吾語汝、罪人中有一悔改、則在天喜之亦然、其勝於九十九之義人、不待悔改者矣、

作惡者流、當改其行、寢其謀、歸誠耶和華我之上帝、蓋彼矜恤為懷、必赦宥之。

斯實耶和華之旨、使之糜爛、憂心悄悄、獻祭贖罪、可享遐齡、若子若孫、熾昌弗絕、耶和華之志、無不大成。

人有百羊、而喪其一、爾意云何、不姑舍九十九羊於山、往求其喪者乎、若遇之、我誠告爾、其為此一羊喜、勝於九十九之不喪者矣、如是而亡此小子之一、非爾天父意也、○

惟彼仇敵、銜憾實深、皆出無因、其數眾多、擢髮難計、膂力剛強、予未嘗取諸人、人反使我償兮、

我言惡人必死、如爾不示之、使彼悛改、以獲生命則彼惡人、將死於罪、而我亦必罰爾。
