Now it was the day of preparation for the Passover; it was about the sixth hour. And he* said to the Jews,“ Look, your King!”So they shouted,“ Away with Him, away with Him, crucify Him!” Pilate* said to them,“ Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered,“ We have no king except Caesar.”

And Jesus said to him,“ The foxes have holes and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

Jesus then came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate* said to them,“ Behold, the Man!”

And when His parents had completed everything in accordance with the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own city of Nazareth.Now the Child continued to grow and to become strong, increasing in wisdom; and the favor of God was upon Him.

And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

And He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and He continued to be subject to them; and His mother treasured all these things in her heart.And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and people.
