He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

or to governors as those sent out by him to punish those who do what is evil and to praise those who do what is good.

You are to tell him: This is what the LORD of Armies says: Here is a man whose name is Branch; he will branch out from his place and build the LORD’s temple.

They shouted back,“ Not this man, but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was a revolutionary.

When they had completed everything according to the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth.The boy grew up and became strong, filled with wisdom, and God’s grace was on him.

Then she gave birth to her firstborn son, and she wrapped him tightly in cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

Then he went down with them and came to Nazareth and was obedient to them. His mother kept all these things in her heart.And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and with people.
