Just as there were many who were appalled at him— his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness—

Many people were shocked when they saw him. He was so scarred that he no longer looked like a person. His body was so twisted that he did not look like a human being anymore.

As many were astonished at you— his appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance, and his form beyond that of the children of mankind—

But many were amazed when they saw him. His face was so disfigured he seemed hardly human, and from his appearance, one would scarcely know he was a man.

Just as many were appalled at you— his appearance was so disfigured that he did not look like a man, and his form did not resemble a human being—

Just as many were appalled at you, My people, So His appearance was marred beyond that of a man, And His form beyond the sons of mankind.

Just as many were astonished at you, So His visage was marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men;

他在耶和華面前生長如嫩芽，像根出於乾地。他無佳形美容使我們注視他，也無美貌使我們仰慕他。他被藐視，被人厭棄；多受痛苦，常經憂患。他被藐視，好像被人掩面不看的一樣，我們也不尊重他。他誠然擔當我們的憂患，背負我們的痛苦；我們卻以為他受責罰，是被上帝擊打苦待。他為我們的過犯受害，為我們的罪孽被壓傷。因他受的懲罰，我們得平安；因他受的鞭傷，我們得醫治。

人打我的背，我任他打；人拔我兩頰的鬍鬚，我由他拔；人侮辱我，向我吐唾沫，我並不掩面。

我數遍我的骨頭；他們瞪着眼看我。

耶穌仍不回答，連一句話也不說，以致總督覺得非常驚訝。

他們就吐唾沫在他臉上，用拳頭打他，也有打他耳光的，

於是他到他們那裏，一上船，風就停了；他們心裏十分驚奇。

門徒就更為驚訝，彼此對問：「這樣，誰能得救呢？」

他們聽了十分驚訝，就離開他走了。那天，撒都該人來見耶穌。他們說沒有復活這回事，於是問耶穌：

用荊棘編了冠冕，戴在他頭上，拿一根蘆葦稈放在他右手裏，跪在他面前，戲弄他，說：「萬歲，猶太人的王！」他們又向他吐唾沫，拿蘆葦稈打他的頭。

我的精力枯乾，如同瓦片，我的舌頭緊貼上顎。你將我安置在死灰中。

但我是蟲，不是人，被眾人羞辱，被百姓藐視。凡看見我的都嗤笑我；他們撇嘴搖頭：

耶穌講完了這些話，眾人對他的教導都感到驚奇，

那女孩子立刻起來走動－她已經十二歲了；他們就非常驚奇。

因為我的年日在煙中消失，我的骨頭如火把燒着。我的心如草被踩碎而枯乾，甚至我忘記吃飯。因我嘆息的聲音，我的肉緊貼骨頭。

許多人看我為異類，但你是我堅固的避難所。

眾人分外驚奇，說：「他所做的事樣樣都好，他甚至使聾子聽見，啞巴說話。」

凡聽見他的人都對他的聰明和應對感到驚奇。

他們行路上耶路撒冷去。耶穌在前頭走，他們很驚訝，跟從的人也害怕。耶穌又叫十二使徒來，把自己將要遭遇的事告訴他們，

又蒙着他的眼，問他：「你說預言吧！打你的是誰？」

眾人都驚訝，彼此對問：「這是甚麼道理呢？因為他用權柄能力命令污靈，污靈就出來。」

眾人都驚奇，也歸榮耀給上帝，並且滿心懼怕，說：「我們今日看見不尋常的事了！」
