彼曾面目顦顇、甚於世人、形容枯槁、逾於人子、令眾駭異、

維昔憂心戚戚、容顏枯槁、幾不類人、見者盡駭。

維昔相貌憔悴、異乎常人、形容枯槁、迥別世人、使眾驚駭、

Just as there were many who were appalled at him— his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness—

Many people were shocked when they saw him. He was so scarred that he no longer looked like a person. His body was so twisted that he did not look like a human being anymore.

As many were astonished at you— his appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance, and his form beyond that of the children of mankind—

But many were amazed when they saw him. His face was so disfigured he seemed hardly human, and from his appearance, one would scarcely know he was a man.

Just as many were appalled at you— his appearance was so disfigured that he did not look like a man, and his form did not resemble a human being—

Just as many were appalled at you, My people, So His appearance was marred beyond that of a man, And His form beyond the sons of mankind.

Just as many were astonished at you, So His visage was marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men;

Like as many were astonished at thee( his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men),

他在永恆主面前長起來像幼樹秧，像根出於乾旱之地；他沒有佳形威儀讓我們瞻仰他，也沒有美容使我們羨慕他。他被藐視，被絕交，是個多受痛苦、熟知憂患的人，像被人掩面不看的一樣；他被藐視，我們並不算他為甚麼。其實呢、我們的憂患是他擔當了，我們的痛苦他背負了；我們呢、卻以為他是被痛擊，被上帝擊打，而受苦楚的。哪知道是他為了我們的過犯而被刺透，為了我們的罪孽而被壓傷；那加於他身上的刑罰使我們得了安康；因他受的鞭傷、我們才得醫治。

我將我的背脊給擊打的人擊打，將我的腮頰給拔鬍鬚的人扯拔，我並沒有掩面以躲避羞辱，而免被吐唾沬。

我的骨頭、我都能數算；他們瞪着眼看我，

耶穌不回答他，連一句話也不說，以致總督極為希奇。

便吐唾沬在他臉上，用拳頭打他；有人給他一個耳刮子，

就到他們那裏上了船，風就不狂吹了。他們心裏非常驚奇；

他們就越發驚駭，彼此說：『這樣誰能得救呢？』

他們聽見都希奇，便離開他走了。當那一天，有說沒有復活之事的撒都該人上耶穌跟前來，詰問他，

用荊棘編個華冠，放在他頭上，又把一根葦子放在他右手裏；跪在他面前，戲弄他說：『猶太人的王萬歲！』又向他吐唾沬，拿那根葦子直打他的頭。

我的精力枯乾、如同瓦器；我的舌頭貼在牙床上；你放我於死地之塵土中。

至於我呢、我乃是蟲子，並不是人；我被人羞辱，被眾民藐視。凡看見我的都嗤笑我；他們撇嘴搖頭，說：

耶穌講完了這些話，羣眾都因他的教訓而驚駭；

閨女立刻起來，並且走路；她有十二歲了。他們就大大的驚奇。

因為我的年日如煙消沒；我的骨頭都燒焦像燃燒物；我的心被擊傷，如草枯乾；我連飯都忘了喫。因我歎息的聲音，我的骨頭僅僅貼着皮肉。

許多人以我為怪異；但你是我的避難所、我的力量。

眾人分外地驚駭說：『各樣事他都作得好；居然使聾子能聽見，使不能說話的人也能說話了！』

凡聽見的都驚奇他的聰明、他的應對。

他們在路上，要上耶路撒冷去，耶穌在他們前頭走：他們很驚訝，跟從的人也害怕。耶穌又帶着那十二個人到一邊，開始把將要臨到他的事對他們說：

又蒙着他的眼，問他說：『說豫言吧；打你的是誰？』

眾人都驚訝，彼此談論說：『這是甚麼話呀？他用權柄和能力吩咐污靈，污靈竟出來了！』

驚奇抓住了眾人，他們就將榮耀歸與上帝，充滿着敬畏的心、說：『今天我們看見了不可思議的事了。』
