Just as there were many who were appalled at him— his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness—

Many people were shocked when they saw him. He was so scarred that he no longer looked like a person. His body was so twisted that he did not look like a human being anymore.

As many were astonished at you— his appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance, and his form beyond that of the children of mankind—

But many were amazed when they saw him. His face was so disfigured he seemed hardly human, and from his appearance, one would scarcely know he was a man.

Just as many were appalled at you— his appearance was so disfigured that he did not look like a man, and his form did not resemble a human being—

He grew up before Him like a young plant and like a root out of dry ground. He didn’t have an impressive form or majesty that we should look at Him, no appearance that we should desire Him.He was despised and rejected by men, a man of suffering who knew what sickness was. He was like someone people turned away from; He was despised, and we didn’t value Him.Yet He Himself bore our sicknesses, and He carried our pains; but we in turn regarded Him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted.But He was pierced because of our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on Him, and we are healed by His wounds.

I gave My back to those who beat Me, and My cheeks to those who tore out My beard. I did not hide My face from scorn and spitting.

I can count all my bones; people look and stare at me.

But He didn’t answer him on even one charge, so that the governor was greatly amazed.

Then they spit in His face and beat Him; others slapped Him

Then He got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. They were completely astounded,

So they were even more astonished, saying to one another,“ Then who can be saved?”

When they heard this, they were amazed. So they left Him and went away.The same day some Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came up to Him and questioned Him:

They twisted together a crown of thorns, put it on His head, and placed a reed in His right hand. And they knelt down before Him and mocked Him:“ Hail, King of the Jews!”Then they spit on Him, took the reed, and kept hitting Him on the head.

My strength is dried up like baked clay; my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You put me into the dust of death.

But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by men and despised by people.Everyone who sees me mocks me; they sneer and shake their heads:

When Jesus had finished this sermon, the crowds were astonished at His teaching,

Immediately the girl got up and began to walk.( She was 12 years old.) At this they were utterly astounded.

For my days vanish like smoke, and my bones burn like a furnace.My heart is afflicted, withered like grass; I even forget to eat my food.Because of the sound of my groaning, my flesh sticks to my bones.

I have become an ominous sign to many, but You are my strong refuge.

They were extremely astonished and said,“ He has done everything well! He even makes deaf people hear, and people unable to speak, talk!”

And all those who heard Him were astounded at His understanding and His answers.

They were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them. They were astonished, but those who followed Him were afraid. Taking the Twelve aside again, He began to tell them the things that would happen to Him.

After blindfolding Him, they kept asking,“ Prophesy! Who hit You?”

Amazement came over them all, and they kept saying to one another,“ What is this message? For He commands the unclean spirits with authority and power, and they come out!”

Then everyone was astounded, and they were giving glory to God. And they were filled with awe and said,“ We have seen incredible things today!”
