Your Lord and King speaks. He is your God. He stands up for his people. He says,“ I have taken from you the cup of my great anger. It made you unsteady on your feet. But you will never drink from that cup again.

你的主耶和华是为祂子民申辩的上帝，祂说：“看啊，我已从你手中拿走那使人东倒西歪的杯和盛满我愤怒的碗，你必不再喝。

你的主耶和华，就是为自己的子民争辩的神，这样说：“看哪！我已经把那使人摇摇摆摆的杯，就是我烈怒的爵，从你的手里挪去了；你必不再喝这杯。

你的主耶和华，为子民辩屈的神如此说：“看哪！我已经从你手中拿走了使人踉跄的杯，就是我怒火的杯盏，你绝不会再喝它了。

爾主耶和華、為其民伸冤之上帝曰、致眩之爵、所給忿怒之杯、我從爾手取之、俾不復飲、

我耶和華爾之上帝、恆伸民冤、素我怒爾、若手執爵、酒味殊烈、使爾飲之、以至酩酊、後不復飲爾。

主爾之天主、為己民伸冤者、爾之天主如是云、昏醉之杯、我已接於爾手、我震怒之大罇、爾不復飲之、

This is what your Sovereign Lord says, your God, who defends his people:“ See, I have taken out of your hand the cup that made you stagger; from that cup, the goblet of my wrath, you will never drink again.

Thus says your Lord, the Lord, your God who pleads the cause of his people:“ Behold, I have taken from your hand the cup of staggering; the bowl of my wrath you shall drink no more;

This is what the Sovereign Lord, your God and Defender, says:“ See, I have taken the terrible cup from your hands. You will drink no more of my fury.

This is what your Lord says— the LORD, even your God, who defends his people—“ Look, I have removed from your hand the cup that causes staggering; that goblet, the cup of my fury. You will never drink it again.

This is what your Lord, the Lord, your God Who contends for His people says:“ Behold, I have taken from your hand the cup of staggering, The chalice of My anger; You will never drink it again.

Thus says your Lord, The Lord and your God, Who pleads the cause of His people:“ See, I have taken out of your hand The cup of trembling, The dregs of the cup of My fury; You shall no longer drink it.

Thus saith thy Lord Jehovah, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thy hand the cup of staggering, even the bowl of the cup of my wrath; thou shalt no more drink it again:

This is what your Lord says— Yahweh, even your God, who defends His people—“ Look, I have removed the cup of staggering from your hand; that goblet, the cup of My fury. You will never drink it again.

Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God[ that] pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling,[ even] the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:

This is what your sovereign master, the LORD your God, says:“ Look, I have removed from your hand the cup of intoxicating wine, the goblet full of my anger. You will no longer have to drink it.

Your Lord Yahweh, your God who pleads the cause of his people, says,“ Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of staggering, even the bowl of the cup of my wrath. You will not drink it any more.

Wake up, Jerusalem! Wake up! Get up! The Lord has handed you the cup of his great anger. And you have drunk from it. That cup makes people unsteady on their feet. And you have drunk from it to the very last drop.

But I am strong and will save them. My name is the Lord Who Rules Over All. I will stand up for them. I will bring peace and rest to their land. But I will bring trouble to those who live in Babylon.

“ Yes, they can,” the Lord answers.“ Prisoners will be taken away from soldiers. Stolen goods will be taken back from the powerful Babylonians. Zion, I will fight against those who fight against you. And I will save your people.

The Lord will stand up for them in court. He will require the lives of people who have taken the lives of those in need.

We’ve sinned against the Lord. So he is angry with us. His anger will continue until he takes up our case. Then he’ll do what is right for us. He’ll bring us out into the light. Then we’ll see him save us.

I will gather together all the nations. I will bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial. I will judge them for what they have done to my people Israel. They scattered them among the nations. They divided up my land among themselves.

The Lord has made a promise. He has lifted up his right hand and mighty arm. He has promised,“ I will never give your grain to your enemies for food again. Outsiders will never again drink the fresh wine you have worked so hard for.

David heard that Nabal was dead. So he said,“ Give praise to the Lord. Nabal was rude to me. But the Lord stood up for me. He has kept me from doing something wrong. He has paid Nabal back for the wrong things he did.” Then David sent a message to Abigail. He asked her to become his wife.

Lord, stand up against those who stand up against me. Fight against those who fight against me.

I will no longer turn my face away from the people of Israel. I will pour out my Spirit on them,” announces the Lord and King.

So the Lord says,“ I will stand up for you. I will pay the Babylonians back for what they did to you. I will dry up their water supply. I will make their springs run dry.

“ For a brief moment I left you. But because I love you so much, I will bring you back.For a moment I turned my face away from you. I was very angry with you. But I will show you my loving concern. My faithful love will continue forever,” says the Lord. He is the one who set you free.“ During Noah’s time I made a promise. I said I would never cover the earth with water again. In the same way, I have promised not to be angry with you. I will never punish you again.
