The cowering prisoners will soon be set free; they will not die in their dungeon, nor will they lack bread.

You prisoners who are so afraid will soon be set free. You will not die in your prison cells. You will not go without food.

他們就拿住耶利米，給扔在王子瑪基雅的井裏；那井在護衛監的院子裏；他們用繩子將耶利米縋下去。井裏沒有水，只是淤泥；耶利米就沉陷在淤泥中。古實人以伯米勒、是個做太監的人、他在王宮、聽見人將耶利米下在井裏——那時王在便雅憫門口坐着——以伯米勒就從王宮出來，告訴王說：『我主我王啊，這些人待神言人耶利米的盡是行壞事：將他扔在井裏，他是會當場餓死的；因為城裏再也沒有糧食了。』王就吩咐古實人以伯米勒說：『你就此隨手帶着三個人、將神言人耶利米、趁他未死以前、從井裏拉上來。』於是以伯米勒隨手帶了人，進入王宮，到庫房以下，從那裏取了些破布爛衣，用繩子縋下井裏到耶利米那裏。古實人以伯米勒對耶利米說：『你把這些破布爛衣放在繩子上去墊胳肢窩。』耶利米就這樣作。他們便這樣用繩子拉耶利米，從井裏給拖上來。耶利米仍在護衛監的院子裏呆着。

忽然有主的一個天使站在旁邊，有光照在獄室裏。天使拍着彼得的肋旁，叫醒了他，說：『趕快起來！』彼得的鎖鍊就從他手上掉下來。天使對他說：『束着帶子，着上鞋！』彼得就這樣作。天使又對他說；『披上外衣，跟着我！』

於是猶大和便雅憫父系的族長、祭司和利未人、凡心被上帝激動的、都起來，要上去重建在耶路撒冷之永恆主的殿。

他們必不饑餓，不口渴，炎熱和烈日必不傷害他們，因為憐憫他們的、必率領他們，引導他們到水泉旁。

耶利米來到地牢，就進了獄室；耶利米在那裏呆了許多日子。

他們要了結我的性命於坑裏，又將石頭拋在我身上。眾水淹過我的頭；我說：「我命絕了！」
