The cowering prisoners will soon be set free; they will not die in their dungeon, nor will they lack bread.

他们就拿住耶利米，把他丢在王子玛基雅的井里，那井是在卫兵的院子里的；他们用绳子把耶利米缒下去。井里没有水，只有淤泥；耶利米就陷在淤泥中。宫中的臣宰古实人以伯．米勒，在王宫里听见他们把耶利米关在井里的消息（那时，王正在便雅悯门坐着），以伯．米勒就从王宫里出来，禀告王说：“我主我王啊！这些人对耶利米先知所作的一切真是恶毒，他们把他丢在井里；在那地方他必饿死，因为城里再没有粮食了。”于是王吩咐古实人以伯．米勒说：“你从这里带三十个人，在耶利米先知未死以前，把他从井里拉上来。”以伯．米勒就带人进王宫去，到储物室下面的一个房间，从那里取了些破布烂衣，用绳子缒下井里给耶利米。古实人以伯．米勒对耶利米说：“把这些破布烂衣垫在你的腋下，然后束上绳子。”耶利米就这样作了。于是他们用绳子把耶利米从井里拉出来；这样，耶利米可以住在卫兵的院子里。

忽然，有主的一位使者出现，牢房里就光芒四射。天使拍拍彼得的肋旁，唤醒他，说：“快起来！”他手上的锁链就脱落了。天使对他说：“束上带子，穿上鞋！”他就这样作了。天使又说：“披上外衣，跟我走！”

于是，犹大和便雅悯的族长、祭司、利未人和所有被神激动了心灵的人，都起来要上去，重建在耶路撒冷耶和华的殿。

他们必不饥饿，也不口渴，炎热和太阳必不伤害他们，因为那怜悯他们的，要引领他们，带领他们到水泉的旁边。

耶利米进了地牢里的一个囚房，在那里监禁了多日。

他们把我投在坑中要结束我的性命，又把石头抛在我身上；水淹过我的头，我说：“我要死了！”
