而忘展布諸天、奠定地基、肇造爾之耶和華、終日因強暴者之怒而懼、以其圖滅爾、其怒安在、

我耶和華肇造爾邦、張舒穹蒼、奠定寰宇、爾何為忘予、恆畏強暴之人、恐其烈怒、滅爾邦家、然彼怒雖烈、焉能有為。

乃忘張天奠地造爾之主、強暴之人、預備殺戮之時、爾終日戰慄、畏其烈怒、究之強暴人之烈怒、果安在乎、

that you forget the Lord your Maker, who stretches out the heavens and who lays the foundations of the earth, that you live in constant terror every day because of the wrath of the oppressor, who is bent on destruction? For where is the wrath of the oppressor?

How can you forget me? I made you. I stretch out the heavens. I lay the foundations of the earth. Why are you terrified every day? Is it because those who are angry with you are crushing you? Is it because they are trying to destroy you? Their anger can’t harm you anymore.

and have forgotten the Lord, your Maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth, and you fear continually all the day because of the wrath of the oppressor, when he sets himself to destroy? And where is the wrath of the oppressor?

Yet you have forgotten the Lord, your Creator, the one who stretched out the sky like a canopy and laid the foundations of the earth. Will you remain in constant dread of human oppressors? Will you continue to fear the anger of your enemies? Where is their fury and anger now? It is gone!

But you have forgotten the LORD, your Maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth. You are in constant dread all day long because of the fury of the oppressor, who has set himself to destroy. But where is the fury of the oppressor?

Why do you forget the LORD, who made you, who stretched out the sky and founded the earth? Why do you constantly tremble all day long at the anger of the oppressor, when he makes plans to destroy? Where is the anger of the oppressor?

It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in,

He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.

For you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and have not remembered the rock of your strength. Therefore you plant pleasant plants, and set out foreign seedlings.

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the lawyer of this world? Hasn’t God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

“ Can a virgin forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? Yet my people have forgotten me for days without number.

God Yahweh, he who created the heavens and stretched them out, he who spread out the earth and that which comes out of it, he who gives breath to its people and spirit to those who walk in it, says:

“ He has made the earth by his power. He has established the world by his wisdom. By his understanding he has stretched out the heavens.

Of the Rock who became your father, you are unmindful, and have forgotten God who gave you birth.

Yahweh, your Redeemer, and he who formed you from the womb says:“ I am Yahweh, who makes all things; who alone stretches out the heavens; who spreads out the earth by myself;

I have seen the wicked in great power, spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil.But he passed away, and behold, he was not. Yes, I sought him, but he could not be found.

“ Don’t say,‘ A conspiracy!’ concerning all about which this people say,‘ A conspiracy!’ neither fear their threats, nor be terrorized.Yahweh of Armies is who you must respect as holy. He is the one you must fear. He is the one you must dread.

Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the form of his appearance was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He spoke, and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.

So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king’s wrath was pacified.

When Pharaoh came near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and they were very afraid. The children of Israel cried out to Yahweh.They said to Moses,“ Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you treated us this way, to bring us out of Egypt?Isn’t this the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying,‘ Leave us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians?’ For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”Moses said to the people,“ Don’t be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of Yahweh, which he will work for you today; for you will never again see the Egyptians whom you have seen today.

Surely the wrath of man praises you. The survivors of your wrath are restrained.

You shall be driven from men; and your dwelling shall be with the animals of the field. You shall be made to eat grass as oxen. Seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will.’”This was fulfilled the same hour on Nebuchadnezzar. He was driven from men, and ate grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of the sky, until his hair had grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws.

Those who see you will stare at you. They will ponder you, saying,“ Is this the man who made the earth to tremble, who shook kingdoms,who made the world like a wilderness, and overthrew its cities, who didn’t release his prisoners to their home?”

“ Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?”

Your heart will meditate on the terror. Where is he who counted? Where is he who weighed? Where is he who counted the towers?You will no longer see the fierce people, a people of a deep speech that you can’t comprehend, with a strange language that you can’t understand.

that the triumphing of the wicked is short, the joy of the godless but for a moment?Though his height mount up to the heavens, and his head reach to the clouds,yet he will perish forever like his own dung. Those who have seen him will say,‘ Where is he?’He will fly away as a dream, and will not be found. Yes, he will be chased away like a vision of the night.The eye which saw him will see him no more, neither will his place see him any more.

They have gone over the pass. They have taken up their lodging at Geba. Ramah trembles. Gibeah of Saul has fled.Cry aloud with your voice, daughter of Gallim! Listen, Laishah! You poor Anathoth!Madmenah is a fugitive. The inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.This very day he will halt at Nob. He shakes his hand at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.Behold, the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will lop the boughs with terror. The tall will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.He will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One.

Then Yahweh’s angel went out and struck one hundred and eighty- five thousand men in the camp of the Assyrians. When men arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, went away, returned to Nineveh, and stayed there.As he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons struck him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat. Esar Haddon his son reigned in his place.

“ You shall say this to them:‘ The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth, and from under the heavens.’”God has made the earth by his power. He has established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding has he stretched out the heavens.

They went up over the width of the earth, and surrounded the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. Fire came down out of heaven from God and devoured them.

Of old, you laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the work of your hands.They will perish, but you will endure. Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment. You will change them like a cloak, and they will be changed.

If indeed they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had enough time to return.

Tell him,‘ Be careful, and keep calm. Don’t be afraid, neither let your heart be faint because of these two tails of smoking torches, for the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.

The enemy said,‘ I will pursue. I will overtake. I will divide the plunder. My desire will be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword. My hand will destroy them.’You blew with your wind. The sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters.

The enemy is overtaken by endless ruin. The very memory of the cities which you have overthrown has perished.But Yahweh reigns forever. He has prepared his throne for judgment.

The beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked the signs in his sight, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.

Let my outcasts dwell with you! As for Moab, be a hiding place for him from the face of the destroyer. For the extortionist is brought to nothing. Destruction ceases. The oppressors are consumed out of the land.

Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he didn’t give God the glory. Then he was eaten by worms and died.
