主耶和華祐我、我顏堅比鐵石、不愧不怍、可以自信。

主天主必祐助我、故我不羞慚、以為我之面堅如鐵石、且知我必不至愧恥、

Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.

The Lord and King helps me. He won’t let me be dishonored. So I’ve made up my mind to keep on serving him. I know he won’t let me be put to shame.

Behold, I have made your face as hard as their faces, and your forehead as hard as their foreheads.Like emery harder than flint have I made your forehead. Fear them not, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.”

Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations.

So we can confidently say,“ The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

so that my hand shall be established with him; my arm also shall strengthen him.The enemy shall not outwit him; the wicked shall not humble him.I will crush his foes before him and strike down those who hate him.My faithfulness and my steadfast love shall be with him, and in my name shall his horn be exalted.I will set his hand on the sea and his right hand on the rivers.He shall cry to me,‘ You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.’And I will make him the firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.

Thus says the Lord:“ In a time of favor I have answered you; in a day of salvation I have helped you; I will keep you and give you as a covenant to the people, to establish the land, to apportion the desolate heritages,

Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem.

Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

Behold, the Lord God helps me; who will declare me guilty? Behold, all of them will wear out like a garment; the moth will eat them up.

Did not he who made the outside make the inside also?But give as alms those things that are within, and behold, everything is clean for you.“ But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and neglect justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seat in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces.Woe to you! For you are like unmarked graves, and people walk over them without knowing it.”One of the lawyers answered him,“ Teacher, in saying these things you insult us also.”And he said,“ Woe to you lawyers also! For you load people with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.Woe to you! For you build the tombs of the prophets whom your fathers killed.So you are witnesses and you consent to the deeds of your fathers, for they killed them, and you build their tombs.Therefore also the Wisdom of God said,‘ I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and persecute,’so that the blood of all the prophets, shed from the foundation of the world, may be charged against this generation,from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, it will be required of this generation.Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter yourselves, and you hindered those who were entering.”As he went away from there, the scribes and the Pharisees began to press him hard and to provoke him to speak about many things,lying in wait for him, to catch him in something he might say.
