The Sovereign Lord has given me a well- instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.

The Lord and King has taught me what to say. He has taught me how to help those who are tired. He wakes me up every morning. He makes me want to listen like a good student.

The Lord God has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is weary. Morning by morning he awakens; he awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.

The Sovereign Lord has given me his words of wisdom, so that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will.

因為是我要賜給你們口才和智慧，就是一切敵對你們的人所不能反對或辯駁的。

於是永恆主伸手觸着我的口。永恆主對我說：『看哪，我將我的話放你口中。

於是猶太人希奇說：『這個人沒有學習過，怎麼能通曉典籍呢？』耶穌就回答他們說：『我的教訓不是我自己的，乃是那差我者的。人若有意志要遵行上帝的旨意，就會知道那關於這教訓的事：是出於上帝呢，還是我憑着自己講的。

永恆主對他說：『誰使人有口呢？誰使人口啞、耳聾、眼明、眼瞎呢？豈不是我永恆主麼？現在去吧，我一定要賜給你口才，要指教你所應當說的。』

一句話說得合乎機宜、就如金蘋果鑲嵌在銀的雕刻物上。

由於口中之善應對、人可得喜樂；合乎其時的話、何等的美好啊！

我天微亮就起來呼救；我仰望的乃是你的話。

眾人都證說他好，希奇他口中所出恩惠的話。他們說：『這個人不是約瑟的兒子麼？』

求你使我於早晨飽得你的堅愛，因為我倚靠你；求你使我知道我應當走的路，因為我的心仰望着你。

沒有一個人能回答他一句話。從那一天起，再也沒有人敢詰問他了。

一切勞苦背重擔的人哪，來找我吧，我便給你們安歇。

來到自己家鄉，在他們的會堂裏教訓他們，以致他們都驚駭說：『這個人從哪裏得了這智慧和這些異能呢？

因為那崇高又高聳的這麼說，那住「永恆」、其名為聖者說：『我住崇高而至聖的所在，也跟心靈痛悔而謙卑的人同住，要使謙卑人的靈活起來，使痛悔之人的心復活。因為我不永遠爭辯，也不長久震怒；因為人的生氣是由我而出，人的氣息是我造的。因他貪婪的罪孽、我震怒了，我擊打他；我向他掩面而震怒，他卻仍然隨心意而轉離正路。他所行的路我看見了；但我要醫治他，引導他，將安慰賞報他，為哀悼他的人創造嘴脣的果子來：願平安福利，給遠處的人，也給近處的人；永恆主說：我並且要醫治他。

永恆主啊，早晨你必聽我的聲音；早晨我必向你陳明，來企望着。

你比任何人類都美麗；有溫文爾雅洋溢於你的嘴脣上；故此上帝賜福與你到永遠。

差役回答說：『從來沒有人像這個人這樣講話的。』
