Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that gird yourselves about with firebrands; walk ye in the flame of your fire, and among the brands that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of my hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.

凡爾燃火、自環以火炬者、其行於爾之火焰、與所燃之火炬中、爾必慘然而臥、我手使然也、

反是以為吾自有火、烟燄環繞、若然則以此照爾出入、可也、不知我必降以災、使彼長戚戚。

惟爾斯眾、皆自燃火、自圍以火炬、以為光照、且恃爾之火光、及爾所燃之火炬而行、當知我必降災於爾、使爾憂痛偃臥、或作爾曹燃火自圍以火炬爾必入爾所燃之烈火內至爾所燃之火炬中我必使爾遭遇如此使爾憂痛偃臥

But now, all you who light fires and provide yourselves with flaming torches, go, walk in the light of your fires and of the torches you have set ablaze. This is what you shall receive from my hand: You will lie down in torment.

But all you sinners who light fires should go ahead and walk in their light. You who carry flaming torches should walk in their light. Here’s what I’m going to do to you. I’ll make you lie down in great pain.

Behold, all you who kindle a fire, who equip yourselves with burning torches! Walk by the light of your fire, and by the torches that you have kindled! This you have from my hand: you shall lie down in torment.

But watch out, you who live in your own light and warm yourselves by your own fires. This is the reward you will receive from me: You will soon fall down in great torment.

Look, all you who kindle a fire, who encircle yourselves with torches; walk in the light of your fire and of the torches you have lit! This is what you’ll get from my hand: you will lie down in a place of torment.

Behold, all you who kindle a fire, Who encircle yourselves with flaming arrows, Walk in the light of your fire And among the flaming arrows you have set ablaze. This you will have from My hand: You will lie down in torment.

Look, all you who kindle a fire, Who encircle yourselves with sparks: Walk in the light of your fire and in the sparks you have kindled— This you shall have from My hand: You shall lie down in torment.

Look, all you who kindle a fire, who encircle yourselves with firebrands; walk in the light of your fire and in the firebrands you have lit! This is what you’ll get from My hand: you will lie down in a place of torment.

Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass[ yourselves] about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks[ that] ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.

Look, all of you who start a fire and who equip yourselves with flaming arrows, walk in the light of the fire you started and among the flaming arrows you ignited! This is what you will receive from me: you will lie down in a place of pain.

Behold, all you who kindle a fire, who adorn yourselves with torches around yourselves, walk in the flame of your fire, and among the torches that you have kindled. You will have this from my hand: you will lie down in sorrow.

Thus saith Jehovah: Cursed is the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from Jehovah.For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, a salt land and not inhabited.Blessed is the man that trusteth in Jehovah, and whose trust Jehovah is.

because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened.Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

For being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

he shall not honor his father. And ye have made void the word of God because of your tradition.Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,This people honoreth me with their lips; But their heart is far from me.

I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for except ye believe that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will make mention of the name of Jehovah our God.They are bowed down and fallen; But we are risen, and stand upright.

Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us; for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner- stone of sure foundation: he that believeth shall not be in haste.And I will make justice the line, and righteousness the plummet; and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding- place.And your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.As often as it passeth through, it shall take you; for morning by morning shall it pass through, by day and by night: and it shall be nought but terror to understand the message.For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it; and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.

They that regard lying vanities Forsake their own mercy.

And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought the signs in his sight, wherewith he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast and them that worshipped his image: they two were cast alive into the lake of fire that burneth with brimstone:

and they shall look unto the earth, and, behold, distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish; and into thick darkness they shall be driven away.

For thus said the Lord Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. And ye would not:but ye said, No, for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.

As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Go ye, serve every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me; but my holy name shall ye no more profane with your gifts, and with your idols.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry; behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty; behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be put to shame;behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall wail for vexation of spirit.And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen; and the Lord Jehovah will slay thee; and he will call his servants by another name:so that he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.

And Jesus said, For judgment came I into this world, that they that see not may see; and that they that see may become blind.

Their sorrows shall be multiplied that give gifts for another god: Their drink- offerings of blood will I not offer, Nor take their names upon my lips.

As a madman who casteth firebrands, Arrows, and death,

And the tongue is a fire: the world of iniquity among our members is the tongue, which defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the wheel of nature, and is set on fire by hell.

And Jehovah said unto Moses, Pharaoh will not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and Jehovah hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

Come to Beth- el, and transgress; to Gilgal, and multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices every morning, and your tithes every three days;and offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving of that which is leavened, and proclaim freewill- offerings and publish them: for this pleaseth you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah.

rendering vengeance to them that know not God, and to them that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus:who shall suffer punishment, even eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might,

And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

but the sons of the kingdom shall be cast forth into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and cast him out into the outer darkness; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; But he that trusteth in Jehovah, lovingkindness shall compass him about.
