Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the word of his servant? Let the one who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the Lord and rely on their God.

Does anyone among you have respect for the Lord? Does anyone obey the message of the Lord’ s servant? Let the person who walks in the dark trust in the Lord. Let the one who doesn’t have any light to guide them depend on their God.

Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the voice of his servant? Let him who walks in darkness and has no light trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God.

Who among you fears the LORD and listens to his servant? Who among you walks in darkness, and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD; let him lean on his God.

Who is among you who fears the Lord, Who obeys the voice of His servant, Who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God.

Who among you fears the LORD? Who obeys his servant? Whoever walks in deep darkness, without light, should trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God.

Who among you fears Yahweh and obeys the voice of his servant? He who walks in darkness and has no light, let him trust in Yahweh’s name, and rely on his God.

I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark.

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.

The Lord is a friend to those who fear him. He teaches them his covenant.

As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.I will be patient as the Lord punishes me, for I have sinned against him. But after that, he will take up my case and give me justice for all I have suffered from my enemies. The Lord will bring me into the light, and I will see his righteousness.

In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.

The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

I go east, but he is not there. I go west, but I cannot find him.I do not see him in the north, for he is hidden. I look to the south, but he is concealed.“ But he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold.

Who are those who fear the Lord? He will show them the path they should choose.

when he lit up the way before me and I walked safely through the darkness.

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.

The Sovereign Lord has given me his words of wisdom, so that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will.

We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it.In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead.And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.

Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!

The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him.So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.

O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge. Interlude

That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty.

How joyful are those who fear the Lord— all who follow his ways!

Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.

Early the next morning the army of Judah went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. On the way Jehoshaphat stopped and said,“ Listen to me, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in his prophets, and you will succeed.”

Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever!Praise the Lord! How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands.

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said,“ I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

I will praise the Lord, and may everyone on earth bless his holy name forever and ever.

Then those who feared the Lord spoke with each other, and the Lord listened to what they said. In his presence, a scroll of remembrance was written to record the names of those who feared him and always thought about the honor of his name.

I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry.He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord.Oh, the joys of those who trust the Lord, who have no confidence in the proud or in those who worship idols.

Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.

When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins.

He made my words of judgment as sharp as a sword. He has hidden me in the shadow of his hand. I am like a sharp arrow in his quiver.He said to me,“ You are my servant, Israel, and you will bring me glory.”

David was now in great danger because all his men were very bitter about losing their sons and daughters, and they began to talk of stoning him. But David found strength in the Lord his God.

“ Look at my servant, whom I strengthen. He is my chosen one, who pleases me. I have put my Spirit upon him. He will bring justice to the nations.

God might kill me, but I have no other hope. I am going to argue my case with him.

They cried out to God during the battle, and he answered their prayer because they trusted in him. So the Hagrites and all their allies were defeated.

O our God, won’t you stop them? We are powerless against this mighty army that is about to attack us. We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help.”

So there is no justice among us, and we know nothing about right living. We look for light but find only darkness. We look for bright skies but walk in gloom.

He has led me into darkness, shutting out all light.
