Woe to you who add house to house and join field to field till no space is left and you live alone in the land.

How terrible it will be for you who get too many houses! How terrible for you who get too many fields! Finally there won’t be any space left in the land. Then you will live all alone.

Woe to those who join house to house, who add field to field, until there is no more room, and you are made to dwell alone in the midst of the land.

What sorrow for you who buy up house after house and field after field, until everyone is evicted and you live alone in the land.

為自己的家積蓄着不義的臭錢，去在高處搭窩，指望着安穩、免受災禍之掌握的、有禍啊！你剪除掉許多外族之民，圖謀使你的家蒙羞，而賠上你自己的性命。牆裏的石頭必哀呼，木寮中的椽子必應聲的。以人血建城、以罪孽立都市的、有禍啊！

『那憑不義而建造自己的房屋，憑不公而建築自己的房頂屋，白白使用人的工，而不給工資的、有禍啊！他說：「我要為自己建造高大的房屋，寬敞的房頂屋」，他便為房屋開闢窗戶，用香柏木作護牆板，用銀硃來髹漆。難道你熱心於香柏木之建築以爭勝，就可以顯王者的派頭麼？你父親不是也喫也喝，也秉公行義麼？那時他真享福啊！他為困苦和貧窮人伸訴；那時他真有福啊！認識我、不就在於此麼？永恆主發神諭說。但你的眼你的心卻不顧別的，只顧你的不義之財，逕流無辜人之血，直行欺壓人壓制人的事。

亞哈聽見拿伯死了；就起來，下去、到耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄園那裏、要取得那園子。永恆主的話傳與提斯比人以利亞說：『你起來、下去、見那在撒瑪利亞的、以色列王亞哈；看哪，在拿伯的葡萄園裏呢；他已經下到那裏、要取得那園子了。你要告訴他說：「永恆主這麼說：『你殺了人，又取得他的產業麼？』」你要告訴他說：「永恆主這麼說：『狗在甚麼地方舔拿伯的血，狗也必在甚麼地方舔你的血，你的。』」亞哈對以利亞說：『我的仇敵啊，你找到了我了麼？』以利亞說：『我找到了你了，因為你出賣了你自己，去行永恆主所看為壞的事。』

就對他們講一個比喻說：『有一個財主的田園、出產豐盛；就自己心裏議論說：「我沒有地方收集我的果實、要怎麼辦呢？」就說：「我要這麼辦：我要把我的倉房拆下來，建造更大的。我要收集我一切的五穀和財物在那裏；然後對自己說，人哪，你有許多財物存放着、做許多年的用處；你安逸度日，喫喝快樂吧！」但上帝卻對他說：「糊塗人哪，就在今天夜裏，你的財物就要要你的命了！你所豫備的、要歸誰呢？」為自己積藏財寶、而對上帝不富足的、就是這樣。』於是耶穌對他的門徒說：『故此我告訴你們，不要為性命掛慮、要喫甚麼；也不要為身體掛慮、要穿甚麼。因為性命是勝於食物，而身體勝於服裝的。你們察看烏鴉，牠們不撒種，也不收割；沒有庫，也沒有倉；上帝尚且供養牠們；你們比飛鳥多麼貴重啊！

『人子啊，論到你的弟兄、你族弟兄、和你一同被擄的人、以及以色列全家、這一切人、耶路撒冷的居民曾經說：「他們已經遠離了永恆主了；這地是給我們為基業的。」

『人子啊，住在以色列地那些荒廢之處的人常說：「亞伯拉罕只是獨自一人尚且能擁有這地為基業，我們呢、人數眾多，一定更能給我們擁有這地的。」

『經學士和法利賽人、假冒為善的人哪，你們有禍啊！因為你們當人面前把天國關起來；你們自己不進入，又不容那正進入的人進入。
