異邦人所奉虛無之神、有能降雨者乎、天能自沛甘霖乎、主我之天主歟、能若是者、非主乎、主行此諸事、故我仍仰望主、

後竟背教、則不能再悔改自新、因其復釘天主子於十字架而顯辱之、譬諸地土、屢得雨潤而生百物、供耕者之用、則天主必降福於斯地、其生荊棘蒺藜之地、必見棄被詛、終必見焚、

我曰、主歟、此事將至何時而止乎、曰、迨乎城邑寂寞、內無居民、宅第空虛無人、土地盡歸荒蕪、主必使斯地之民、徙諸遠邦、致斯地極其蕭條、
