“ Now you dwellers in Jerusalem and people of Judah, judge between me and my vineyard.

So the Lord said,“ People of Jerusalem and Judah, you be the judge between me and my vineyard.

And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, judge between me and my vineyard.

Now, you people of Jerusalem and Judah, you judge between me and my vineyard.

So now, residents of Jerusalem and men of Judah, please judge between me and my vineyard.

“ And now, you inhabitants of Jerusalem and people of Judah, Judge between Me and My vineyard.

“ And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, Judge, please, between Me and My vineyard.

And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.

So now, residents of Jerusalem and men of Judah, please judge between Me and My vineyard.

And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.

So now, residents of Jerusalem, people of Judah, you decide between me and my vineyard!

“ Now, inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, please judge between me and my vineyard.

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.

“ What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others.Haven’t you read this passage of Scripture:“‘ The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?Then the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders looked for a way to arrest him because they knew he had spoken the parable against them. But they were afraid of the crowd; so they left him and went away.

He summons the heavens above, and the earth, that he may judge his people:“ Gather to me this consecrated people, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for he is a God of justice.

Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge.

“ Hear, you mountains, the Lord’s accusation; listen, you everlasting foundations of the earth. For the Lord has a case against his people; he is lodging a charge against Israel.“ My people, what have I done to you? How have I burdened you? Answer me.

Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written:“ So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.”

“ Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?”“ He will bring those wretches to a wretched end,” they replied,“ and he will rent the vineyard to other tenants, who will give him his share of the crop at harvest time.”

So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.“ What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” When the people heard this, they said,“ God forbid!”

Hear the word of the Lord, you descendants of Jacob, all you clans of Israel.This is what the Lord says:“ What fault did your ancestors find in me, that they strayed so far from me? They followed worthless idols and became worthless themselves.
