So people will be brought low and everyone humbled, the eyes of the arrogant humbled.

卑贱人被压服；尊贵人降为卑；眼目高傲的人也降为卑。

人为之屈膝，人就降为卑；高傲的眼目也降为卑。

人为之屈膝，人就降为卑；高傲的眼目也降为卑。

世人遭贬，降为卑下，狂妄者眼目低垂。

卑贱人俯首，尊贵人降卑，眼目高傲的也降卑。

人必被降卑，个个卑贱，眼目高傲的也都卑贱。

卑賤人被壓服；尊貴人降為卑；眼目高傲的人也降為卑。

賤者屈、尊者卑、目高者降、

由尊逮卑、皆必降格、雖昂首仰視、必使之屈抑。

賤者必低、貴者必降、目高者必卑、

So people will be brought low. Everyone will be made humble. Those who brag will be brought down.

Man is humbled, and each one is brought low, and the eyes of the haughty are brought low.

Humanity will be destroyed, and people brought down; even the arrogant will lower their eyes in humiliation.

Humanity is brought low, each person is humbled, and haughty eyes are humbled.

So the common people will be humbled and the person of importance brought low, The eyes of the haughty also will be brought low.

People shall be brought down, Each man shall be humbled, And the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled.

And the mean man is bowed down, and the great man is humbled, and the eyes of the lofty are humbled:

Humanity is brought low, man is humbled, and haughty eyes are humbled.

And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:

Men will be humiliated, they will be brought low; the proud will be brought low.

So man is brought low, mankind is humbled, and the eyes of the arrogant ones are humbled;

The eyes of the arrogant will be humbled and human pride brought low; the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.

So people will be brought low and everyone humbled— do not forgive them.

Surely the lowborn are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie. If weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath.

I thought,“ These are only the poor; they are foolish, for they do not know the way of the Lord, the requirements of their God.So I will go to the leaders and speak to them; surely they know the way of the Lord, the requirements of their God.” But with one accord they too had broken off the yoke and torn off the bonds.

Who is it you have ridiculed and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes in pride? Against the Holy One of Israel!

The arrogance of man will be brought low and human pride humbled; the Lord alone will be exalted in that day,

In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,“ God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

Because you rage against me and because your insolence has reached my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will make you return by the way you came.

Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position.But the rich should take pride in their humiliation— since they will pass away like a wild flower.For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business.

it will be the same for priest as for people, for the master as for his servant, for the mistress as for her servant, for seller as for buyer, for borrower as for lender, for debtor as for creditor.The earth will be completely laid waste and totally plundered. The Lord has spoken this word.The earth dries up and withers, the world languishes and withers, the heavens languish with the earth.

When the Lord has finished all his work against Mount Zion and Jerusalem, he will say,“ I will punish the king of Assyria for the willful pride of his heart and the haughty look in his eyes.

Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.They called to the mountains and the rocks,“ Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!

Should I not punish them for this?” declares the Lord.“ Should I not avenge myself on such a nation as this?

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble.

See, the Lord, the Lord Almighty, will lop off the boughs with great power. The lofty trees will be felled, the tall ones will be brought low.

I will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins. I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless.

So the Lord will cut off from Israel both head and tail, both palm branch and reed in a single day;the elders and dignitaries are the head, the prophets who teach lies are the tail.Those who guide this people mislead them, and those who are guided are led astray.Therefore the Lord will take no pleasure in the young men, nor will he pity the fatherless and widows, for everyone is ungodly and wicked, every mouth speaks folly. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.

You still set yourself against my people and will not let them go.

Unleash the fury of your wrath, look at all who are proud and bring them low,look at all who are proud and humble them, crush the wicked where they stand.
