祸哉！那些清早起来追求浓酒，留连到夜深，甚至因酒发烧的人。

祸哉！那些清晨早起，追寻烈酒，因酒狂热，流连到深夜的人，

那些从清早到深夜贪杯好酒，喝到酩酊大醉的人有祸了！

那些清早起来，追求浓酒，留连到晚上，以致因酒发烧的人，有祸了！

禍哉！那些清早起來追求濃酒，留連到夜深，甚至因酒發燒的人。

Woe to those who rise early in the morning to run after their drinks, who stay up late at night till they are inflamed with wine.

How terrible it will be for those who get up early in the morning to start drinking! How terrible for those who stay up late at night until they are drunk with wine!

Woe to those who rise early in the morning, that they may run after strong drink, who tarry late into the evening as wine inflames them!

What sorrow for those who get up early in the morning looking for a drink of alcohol and spend long evenings drinking wine to make themselves flaming drunk.

Woe to those who rise early in the morning in pursuit of beer, who linger into the evening, inflamed by wine.

Woe to those who rise early in the morning, That they may follow intoxicating drink; Who continue until night, till wine inflames them!

Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that tarry late into the night, till wine inflame them!

Woe to those who rise early in the morning in pursuit of beer, who linger into the evening, inflamed by wine.

Those who get up early to drink beer are as good as dead, those who keep drinking long after dark until they are intoxicated with wine.

Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contentions? Who has complaining? Who has wounds without cause? Who has red eyes?Those who linger long over wine, Those who go to taste mixed wine.

Woe to those who are heroes in drinking wine, And valiant men in mixing intoxicating drink,

Woe to you, land whose king is a boy, and whose princes feast in the morning.Blessed are you, land whose king is of nobility, and whose princes eat at the appropriate time— for strength and not for drunkenness.

Wine is a mocker, intoxicating drink a brawler, And whoever is intoxicated by it is not wise.

Let’s behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and debauchery, not in strife and jealousy.

And these also reel with wine and stagger from intoxicating drink: The priest and the prophet reel with intoxicating drink, They are confused by wine, they stagger from intoxicating drink; They reel while having visions, They stagger when rendering a verdict.For all the tables are full of filthy vomit, without a single clean place.

Woe to the proud crown of the habitually drunk of Ephraim, And to the fading flower of its glorious beauty, Which is at the head of the fertile valley Of those who are overcome with wine!

nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

In the end it bites like a snake And stings like a viper.

“ But be on your guard, so that your hearts will not be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that this day will not come on you suddenly, like a trap;

“ Woe to him who makes his neighbor drink; To you who mix in your venom even to make your neighbors drunk, So as to look at their genitalia!

so then, let’s not sleep as others do, but let’s be alert and sober.For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk, get drunk at night.

On the day of our king, the officials became sick with the heat of wine; He stretched out his hand with scoffers,For their hearts are like an oven As they approach their plotting; Their anger smolders all night, In the morning it burns like flaming fire.
