The generations born in exile will return and say,‘ We need more room! It’s crowded here!’

你丧子以后所生的儿女还要说给你听，说：‘这地方给我居住太狭窄了；求你给我预备地方居住吧！’

你居丧时所生的儿女还要说给你听：‘这地方太窄小了，请你给我们地方居住！’

你必聽見喪子之後所生的兒女說：這地方我居住太窄，求你給我地方居住。

你要再聽見喪失子女後所生的兒女說：「這地方我居住太窄，請你給我地方居住。」

你要再聽見喪失子女後所生的兒女說：「這地方我居住太窄，請你給我地方居住。」

昔爾赤子、流離遠徙、一旦旋歸、皆告爾曰、壤地褊小、其恢廓之、則我得所棲止。

昔雖喪子、後仍有多子告爾曰、此地甚狹、當為我恢廓之、使有所居、

The children born during your bereavement will yet say in your hearing,‘ This place is too small for us; give us more space to live in.’

The children born during your time of sorrow will speak to you. They will say,‘ This city is too small for us. Give us more space to live in.’

The children of your bereavement will yet say in your ears:‘ The place is too narrow for me; make room for me to dwell in.’

Yet as you listen, the children that you have been deprived of will say,‘ This place is too small for me; make room for me so that I may settle.’

The children you lost will yet say in your ears,‘ The place is too cramped for me; Make room for me that I may live here.’

The children you will have, After you have lost the others, Will say again in your ears,‘ The place is too small for me; Give me a place where I may dwell.’

The children of thy bereavement shall yet say in thine ears, The place is too strait for me; give place to me that I may dwell.

Yet as you listen, the children that you have been deprived of will say,‘ This place is too small for me; make room for me so that I may settle.’

The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place[ is] too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.

Yet the children born during your time of bereavement will say within your hearing,‘ This place is too cramped for us, make room for us so we can live here.’

The children of your bereavement will say in your ears,‘ This place is too small for me. Give me a place to live in.’

“ Yet the time will come when Israel’s people will be like the sands of the seashore— too many to count! Then, at the place where they were told,‘ You are not my people,’ it will be said,‘ You are children of the living God.’

The Lord will comfort Israel again and have pity on her ruins. Her desert will blossom like Eden, her barren wilderness like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found there. Songs of thanksgiving will fill the air.

“ Look and see, for everyone is coming home! Your sons are coming from distant lands; your little daughters will be carried home.

“ Sing, O childless woman, you who have never given birth! Break into loud and joyful song, O Jerusalem, you who have never been in labor. For the desolate woman now has more children than the woman who lives with her husband,” says the Lord.“ Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense!For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities.

One day the group of prophets came to Elisha and told him,“ As you can see, this place where we meet with you is too small.

The descendants of Joseph came to Joshua and asked,“ Why have you given us only one portion of land as our homeland when the Lord has blessed us with so many people?”Joshua replied,“ If there are so many of you, and if the hill country of Ephraim is not large enough for you, clear out land for yourselves in the forest where the Perizzites and Rephaites live.”The descendants of Joseph responded,“ It’s true that the hill country is not large enough for us. But all the Canaanites in the lowlands have iron chariots, both those in Beth shan and its surrounding settlements and those in the valley of Jezreel. They are too strong for us.”

Don’t just say to each other,‘ We’re safe, for we are descendants of Abraham.’ That means nothing, for I tell you, God can create children of Abraham from these very stones.

But the other woman, Sarah, represents the heavenly Jerusalem. She is the free woman, and she is our mother.As Isaiah said,“ Rejoice, O childless woman, you who have never given birth! Break into a joyful shout, you who have never been in labor! For the desolate woman now has more children than the woman who lives with her husband!”And you, dear brothers and sisters, are children of the promise, just like Isaac.
