The children born during your time of sorrow will speak to you. They will say,‘ This city is too small for us. Give us more space to live in.’

你要再听见丧失子女后所生的儿女说：“这地方我居住太窄，请你给我地方居住。”

你要再听见丧失子女后所生的儿女说：“这地方我居住太窄，请你给我地方居住。”

你流亡期间所生的子女必在你耳边说，‘这地方太小了，再给我们一些地方住吧。’

你丧子以后所生的儿女还要说给你听，说：‘这地方给我居住太狭窄了；求你给我预备地方居住吧！’

你居丧时所生的儿女还要说给你听：‘这地方太窄小了，请你给我们地方居住！’

你必聽見喪子之後所生的兒女說：這地方我居住太窄，求你給我地方居住。

你要再聽見喪失子女後所生的兒女說：「這地方我居住太窄，請你給我地方居住。」

你要再聽見喪失子女後所生的兒女說：「這地方我居住太窄，請你給我地方居住。」

你流亡期間所生的子女必在你耳邊說，『這地方太小了，再給我們一些地方住吧。』

你喪子以後所生的兒女還要說給你聽，說：‘這地方給我居住太狹窄了；求你給我預備地方居住吧！’

你喪子以後所生的兒女還要說給你聽、說：『這地方給我住太窄；請讓位置給我，讓我居住。』

你居喪時所生的兒女還要說給你聽：『這地方太窄小了，請你給我們地方居住！』

爾喪子時所生之子、將附耳語爾曰、壤地褊小、其恢廓之、俾我得居、

昔爾赤子、流離遠徙、一旦旋歸、皆告爾曰、壤地褊小、其恢廓之、則我得所棲止。

昔雖喪子、後仍有多子告爾曰、此地甚狹、當為我恢廓之、使有所居、

The children born during your bereavement will yet say in your hearing,‘ This place is too small for us; give us more space to live in.’

The children of your bereavement will yet say in your ears:‘ The place is too narrow for me; make room for me to dwell in.’

The generations born in exile will return and say,‘ We need more room! It’s crowded here!’

Yet as you listen, the children that you have been deprived of will say,‘ This place is too small for me; make room for me so that I may settle.’

The children you lost will yet say in your ears,‘ The place is too cramped for me; Make room for me that I may live here.’

The children you will have, After you have lost the others, Will say again in your ears,‘ The place is too small for me; Give me a place where I may dwell.’

The children of thy bereavement shall yet say in thine ears, The place is too strait for me; give place to me that I may dwell.

Yet as you listen, the children that you have been deprived of will say,‘ This place is too small for me; make room for me so that I may settle.’

The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place[ is] too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.

Yet the children born during your time of bereavement will say within your hearing,‘ This place is too cramped for us, make room for us so we can live here.’

The children of your bereavement will say in your ears,‘ This place is too small for me. Give me a place to live in.’

“ But the time will come when the people of Israel will be like the sand on the seashore. It can’t be measured or counted. Now it is said about them,‘ You are not my people.’ But at that time they will be called‘ children of the living God.’

You can be sure that I will comfort Zion’s people. I will look with loving concern on all their destroyed buildings. I will make their deserts like Eden. I will make their dry and empty land like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be there. People will sing and give thanks to me.

“ Look up. Look all around you. All your people are getting together to come back to you. Your sons will come from far away. Your daughters will be carried on the hip like little children.

“ Jerusalem, sing! You are now like a woman who never had a child. Burst into song! Shout for joy! You who have never had labor pains, you are now all alone. But you will have more children than a woman who still has a husband,” says the Lord.“ Make a large area for your tent. Spread out its curtains. Go ahead and make your tent wider. Make its ropes longer. Drive the stakes down deeper.You will spread out to the right and the left. Your children after you will drive out the nations that are now living in your land. They will make their homes in the deserted cities of those nations.

The group of the prophets said to Elisha,“ Look. The place where we meet with you is too small for us.

The people in the family line of Joseph spoke to Joshua. They said,“ Why have you given us only one share of the land to have as our own? There are large numbers of us. The Lord has blessed us greatly.”“ That’s true,” Joshua said.“ There are large numbers of you. And the hill country of Ephraim is too small for you. So go up into the forest. Clear out some land for yourselves in the territory of the Perizzites and Rephaites.”The people in Joseph’s family line replied,“ The hill country isn’t big enough for us. And all the Canaanites who live in the plains use chariots that have iron parts. They include the people of Beth Shan and its settlements. They also include the people who live in the Valley of Jezreel.”

Don’t think you can say to yourselves,‘ Abraham is our father.’ I tell you, God can raise up children for Abraham even from these stones.

But the Jerusalem that is above is free. She is our mother.It is written,“ Be glad, woman, you who have never had children. Shout for joy and cry out loud, you who have never had labor pains. The woman who is all alone has more children than the woman who has a husband.”( Isaiah 54:1)Brothers and sisters, you are children because of God’s promise just as Isaac was.
