See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. Always in my mind is a picture of Jerusalem’s walls in ruins.

See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.

I have written your name on the palms of my hands. Your walls are never out of my sight.

Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.

Look, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.

Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.

See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.

Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

Look, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me.

Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of[ my] hands; thy walls[ are] continually before me.

Look, I have inscribed your name on my palms; your walls are constantly before me.

Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands. Your walls are continually before me.

Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, its jealousy as enduring as the grave. Love flashes like fire, the brightest kind of flame.

O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray day and night, continually. Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord.

“ But when this happens, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, I will honor you, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, my servant. I will make you like a signet ring on my finger, says the Lord, for I have chosen you. I, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!”

This annual festival will be a visible sign to you, like a mark branded on your hand or your forehead. Let it remind you always to recite this teaching of the Lord:‘ With a strong hand, the Lord rescued you from Egypt.’

Violence will disappear from your land; the desolation and destruction of war will end. Salvation will surround you like city walls, and praise will be on the lips of all who enter there.

Go, inspect the city of Jerusalem. Walk around and count the many towers.Take note of the fortified walls, and tour all the citadels, that you may describe them to future generations.

I will make your towers of sparkling rubies, your gates of shining gems, and your walls of precious stones.

In that day, everyone in the land of Judah will sing this song: Our city is strong! We are surrounded by the walls of God’s salvation.

“ As surely as I live,” says the Lord,“ I will abandon you, Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah. Even if you were the signet ring on my right hand, I would pull you off.

So he took me in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and he showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God.It shone with the glory of God and sparkled like a precious stone— like jasper as clear as crystal.The city wall was broad and high, with twelve gates guarded by twelve angels. And the names of the twelve tribes of Israel were written on the gates.There were three gates on each side— east, north, south, and west.The wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were written the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.The angel who talked to me held in his hand a gold measuring stick to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.When he measured it, he found it was a square, as wide as it was long. In fact, its length and width and height were each 1,400 miles.Then he measured the walls and found them to be 216 feet thick( according to the human standard used by the angel).The wall was made of jasper, and the city was pure gold, as clear as glass.The wall of the city was built on foundation stones inlaid with twelve precious stones: the first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald,the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.The twelve gates were made of pearls— each gate from a single pearl! And the main street was pure gold, as clear as glass.
