“ Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!

The Lord answers,“ Can a mother forget the baby who is nursing at her breast? Can she stop having tender love for the child who was born to her? She might forget her child. But I will not forget you.

Can a woman forget her baby who nurses at her breast? Can she withhold compassion from the child she has borne? Even if mothers were to forget, I could never forget you!

父亲怎样怜悯他的儿女，耶和华也怎样怜悯敬畏他的人！

雅各啊，要思念这些事；以色列啊，你是我的仆人。我造了你，你是我的仆人，以色列啊，我必不忘记你。

以色列年幼的时候，我爱他，就从埃及召我的儿子出来。

以法莲是我的爱子吗？是我喜欢的孩子吗？我每逢责备他，仍深顾念他。因此，我的心肠牵挂着他，我必要怜悯他。这是耶和华说的。

你们虽然不好，尚且知道拿好东西给儿女，何况你们在天上的父，他岂不更要把好东西赐给求他的人吗？

当我百姓遭毁灭的时候，慈心的妇人亲手烹煮自己的儿女为食物。

亚哈谢的母亲亚她利雅见她儿子死了，就起来剿灭王室所有的后裔。但约兰王的女儿，亚哈谢的妹妹约示巴，将亚哈谢的儿子约阿施从被杀的王子中偷出来，把他和他的奶妈藏在卧房里，躲避了亚她利雅，没有被杀。

万军之耶和华说：“在我所定的日子，他们必属我，是我宝贵的产业。我必怜悯他们，如同人怜悯那服侍他的儿子。

野狗尚且哺乳其子，我百姓的妇人反倒残忍，如旷野的鸵鸟一般；

你中间柔顺娇嫩的妇人，甚至因柔顺娇嫩脚不肯踏地的妇人，也必冷眼恶待她怀中的丈夫和自己的儿女。在被仇敌围困、陷入窘迫的城镇中，她因缺乏一切，就要暗中把从她两腿中间出来的胞衣和所生下的儿女吃了。

就福音来说，他们为你们的缘故是仇敌；就拣选来说，他们因列祖的缘故是蒙爱的。因为神的恩赐和选召是不会撤回的。

顽梗不化的、言而无信的、无情无义的、不怜悯人的。

你们要吃你们儿子的肉，也要吃你们女儿的肉。
