All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared these[ things]? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm[ shall be on] the Chaldeans.

“ Come together, all of you, and listen: Which of the idols has foretold these things? The Lord’s chosen ally will carry out his purpose against Babylon; his arm will be against the Babylonians.

“ People of Israel, come together and listen to me. What other god has said ahead of time that certain things would happen? I have chosen Cyrus. He will carry out my plans against Babylon. He will use his power against the Babylonians.

“ Assemble, all of you, and listen! Who among them has declared these things? The Lord loves him; he shall perform his purpose on Babylon, and his arm shall be against the Chaldeans.

Have any of your idols ever told you this? Come, all of you, and listen: The Lord has chosen Cyrus as his ally. He will use him to put an end to the empire of Babylon and to destroy the Babylonian armies.

All of you, assemble and listen! Who among the idols has declared these things? The LORD loves him; he will accomplish his will against Babylon, and his arm will be against the Chaldeans.

“ All of you, assemble yourselves, and hear! Who among them has declared these things? The Lord loves him; He shall do His pleasure on Babylon, And His arm shall be against the Chaldeans.

Assemble yourselves, all ye, and hear; who among them hath declared these things? He whom Jehovah loveth shall perform his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.

All of you, assemble and listen! Who among the idols has declared these things? The Lord loves him; he will accomplish His will against Babylon, and His arm will be against the Chaldeans.

All of you, gather together and listen! Who among them announced these things? The LORD’s ally will carry out his desire against Babylon; he will exert his power against the Babylonians.

“ Assemble yourselves, all of you, and hear! Who among them has declared these things? He whom Yahweh loves will do what he likes to Babylon, and his arm will be against the Chaldeans.

Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say,[ It is] truth.

Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and[ as for] gold, they shall not delight in it.[ Their] bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.

Go up against the land of Merathaim,[ even] against it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod: waste and utterly destroy after them, saith the LORD, and do according to all that I have commanded thee.A sound of battle[ is] in the land, and of great destruction.How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations!I have laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O Babylon, and thou wast not aware: thou art found, and also caught, because thou hast striven against the LORD.The LORD hath opened his armoury, and hath brought forth the weapons of his indignation: for this[ is] the work of the Lord GOD of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.Come against her from the utmost border, open her storehouses: cast her up as heaps, and destroy her utterly: let nothing of her be left.Slay all her bullocks; let them go down to the slaughter: woe unto them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation.The voice of them that flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple.Call together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of Israel.

The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.They come from a far country, from the end of heaven,[ even] the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times[ the things] that are not[ yet] done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken[ it], I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed[ it], I will also do it.

Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye[ that are] escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god[ that] cannot save.Tell ye, and bring[ them] near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time?[ who] hath told it from that time?[ have] not I the LORD? and[ there is] no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour;[ there is] none beside me.

Thou[ art] my battle axe[ and] weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider;With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid;I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers.And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the LORD.

That saith of Cyrus,[ He is] my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call[ thee] by thy name,[ am] the God of Israel.

Let them bring[ them] forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they[ be], that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come.

And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them.

Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
