你們舉目向上觀看！誰創造這些星呢？是那按數目領其萬象而出、一一點名呼喚的呀；因他力氣大而能力強、沒有一個邋下的。

創造諸天的、他乃是上帝；形成大地而造它的，他是堅立大地；他創造大地，不是空空虛虛；他形成大地，是要給人居住：這位創造天地的永恆主這麼說：『我乃是永恆主，再沒有別的神。

你起初奠定了地的根基；天乃是你的手所造的。

又說：『主啊，你起初立了地的根基，天也是你手的製造物；天地必滅沒，你卻長存；天地必像衣裳都漸漸故舊；你必將天地捲起來像外袍，天地就像衣裳改變了；惟獨你永遠一樣，你的年歲必無窮盡』。

因為六日之內、永恆主造天、地、海、和其中的萬物，第七日便歇息；所以永恆主賜福與安息之日，分別為聖。

誰曾用手心量諸水，用手虎口測諸天呢？誰用升斗盛大地的塵土，用秤稱山嶺，用天平平小山呢？

那創造諸天，展開穹蒼，將地和地所出的都鋪開，賜氣息給地上萬族之民，又賜靈性給行於地上的人的上帝永恆主這麼說：

願這一切都頌讚永恆主的名！因為他一吩咐，就都被創造出來。他將這些立定到永永遠遠；他立了定律，誰都不能越犯。你們要從地上頌讚永恆主！大海獸和深洋各處，火與冰雹，雪和煙氣，執行他的命令的狂風，

永恆主啊，你的話語立定於天上到永遠。你的忠信傳到代代；你建立了地，地就存立。照你的安排天地今日還存立着；因為萬物都是你的僕役。

是上帝坐在大地的圓穹之上，地上的居民就像蚱蜢；他搭開諸天如帷幕，鋪張天空如可住的帳棚。

他數點星辰的數目，都給它們起名。

你能同上帝鎚薄穹蒼，堅硬如鑄鏡麼？
