創造諸天的耶和華——他是神，是塑造大地、造成大地的那一位；他親自堅立了大地；他創造大地不是要讓它空虛，他塑造大地是要讓人居住——耶和華如此說：「我是耶和華，別無其二。

你在起初奠定了大地的根基，諸天也是你手所造的。

他又說：「主啊，你在起初立定了大地的根基，諸天也是你手所造的。天地將要毀滅，你卻繼續存留；天地都要像衣服那樣漸漸破舊。你將要把天地像外衣那樣捲起來，天地也要像衣服那樣被更換；你卻永不改變，你的歲月沒有窮盡。」

誰曾用手心測量眾水，用手掌度量諸天呢？誰曾用升斗盛量大地的塵土，用秤稱量群山，用天平稱量岡陵呢？

神耶和華創造諸天，展開穹蒼，鋪張地和地所出的一切，又把氣息賜給地上的眾人，把靈賜給行在其中的人——神耶和華如此說：

願這一切都讚美耶和華的名，因為他一吩咐，它們就被造成。他確立這些，直到永永遠遠；他賜下法令，永不廢去。你們當從地上讚美耶和華！你們海中的巨獸和所有的深淵、烈火和冰雹、冰雪和雲霧、遵行他話語的暴風、

耶和華啊，你的話語設立在天，直到永遠！你的信實存到萬代，你堅立了大地，大地就存留。天地照著你的法規存到今日，因為萬有都是你的僕役。

神坐在大地的圓穹之上，地上的居民好像蚱蜢。他展開諸天如幔子，鋪張穹蒼如居住的帳篷。

他數點星辰的數目，一一給它們起名。
