Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah; who swear by the name of Jehovah, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness

雅各家，称为以色列名下，从犹大水源出来的，当听我言！你们指着耶和华的名起誓，提说以色列的神，却不凭诚实，不凭公义。

雅各家，称为以色列名下，从犹大的源头而出的啊，你们指着耶和华的名起誓，提说以色列的上帝，却不凭诚信，也不凭公义；你们自称为圣城之民，倚靠名为万军之耶和华—以色列的上帝；现在，当听我言：

“雅各家啊，听我说！你们被称为以色列人，是犹大的子孙，凭耶和华的名起誓、呼求以色列的上帝，却不真心诚意。

雅各家，就是被称为以色列的，从犹大的水源出来的，指着耶和华的名起誓，却不是出于诚实和公义，提说以色列的神的啊！你们要听这话。

“雅各家啊——你们是被称为以色列名下的，是从犹大水源而出的；你们指着耶和华的名起誓并提说以色列的神，不凭诚实，也不凭公义；

雅各家，稱為以色列名下，從猶大水源出來的，當聽我言！你們指着耶和華的名起誓，提說以色列的神，卻不憑誠實，不憑公義。

雅各家，稱為以色列名下，從猶大的源頭而出的啊，你們指着耶和華的名起誓，提說以色列的上帝，卻不憑誠信，也不憑公義；你們自稱為聖城之民，倚靠名為萬軍之耶和華－以色列的上帝；現在，當聽我言：

「雅各家啊，聽我說！你們被稱為以色列人，是猶大的子孫，憑耶和華的名起誓、呼求以色列的上帝，卻不真心誠意。

雅各家，就是被稱為以色列的，從猶大的水源出來的，指著耶和華的名起誓，卻不是出於誠實和公義，提說以色列的神的啊！你們要聽這話。

聽這話哦，雅各家啊，那稱為以色列名下的，那從猶大腹中出的，那指着永恆主耶和華的名來起誓，稱揚以色列之上帝，而不忠實，而無義氣的，

「雅各家啊——你們是被稱為以色列名下的，是從猶大水源而出的；你們指著耶和華的名起誓並提說以色列的神，不憑誠實，也不憑公義；

雅各家、以以色列名而稱、自猶大源而出者、其聽我言、爾指耶和華之名而誓、稱揚以色列之上帝、惟非以誠以義、

雅各家以色列族赤子、及猶大支派、崇事萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華、指其名而誓、以之是恃、自稱為聖邑之民、特爾心非由於誠慤、今宜聽耶和華之言。

雅各家稱為以色列人、稱為以色列人或作以以色列人之名而名出於猶大源者、爾當聽此、爾雖指主名而誓、稱道以色列之天主、不按誠實、不秉正直、

“ Listen to this, you descendants of Jacob, you who are called by the name of Israel and come from the line of Judah, you who take oaths in the name of the Lord and invoke the God of Israel— but not in truth or righteousness—

People of Jacob, listen to me. You are called by the name of Israel. You come from the family line of Judah. You make promises in the name of the Lord. You pray to Israel’s God. But you aren’t honest. You don’t mean what you say.

Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and who came from the waters of Judah, who swear by the name of the Lord and confess the God of Israel, but not in truth or right.

“ Listen to me, O family of Jacob, you who are called by the name of Israel and born into the family of Judah. Listen, you who take oaths in the name of the Lord and call on the God of Israel. You don’t keep your promises,

“ Listen to this, house of Jacob— those who are called by the name Israel and have descended from Judah, who swear by the name of the LORD and declare the God of Israel, but not in truth or righteousness.

“ Hear this, house of Jacob, who are named Israel And who came from the waters of Judah, Who swear by the name of the Lord And invoke the God of Israel, But not in truth nor in righteousness.

“ Hear this, O house of Jacob, Who are called by the name of Israel, And have come forth from the wellsprings of Judah; Who swear by the name of the Lord, And make mention of the God of Israel, But not in truth or in righteousness;

“ Listen to this, house of Jacob— those who are called by the name Israel and have descended from Judah, who swear by the name of Yahweh and declare the God of Israel, but not in truth or righteousness.

Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel,[ but] not in truth, nor in righteousness.

Listen to this, O family of Jacob, you who are called by the name‘ Israel,’ and are descended from Judah, who take oaths in the name of the LORD, and invoke the God of Israel– but not in an honest and just manner.

“ Hear this, house of Jacob, you who are called by the name of Israel, and have come out of the waters of Judah. You swear by Yahweh’s name, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness—

and thou shalt swear, As Jehovah liveth, in truth, in justice, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.

Bless ye God in the congregations, Even the Lord, ye that are of the fountain of Israel.

Water shall flow from his buckets, And his seed shall be in many waters, And his king shall be higher than Agag, And his kingdom shall be exalted.

And though they say, As Jehovah liveth; surely they swear falsely.

Thou shalt fear Jehovah thy God; and him shalt thou serve, and shalt swear by his name.

By myself have I sworn, the word is gone forth from my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

This people honoreth me with their lips; But their heart is far from me.But in vain do they worship me, Teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men.

Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods that ye have not known,and come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered; that ye may do all these abominations?

so that he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.

And Israel dwelleth in safety, The fountain of Jacob alone, In a land of grain and new wine; Yea, his heavens drop down dew.

Should thy springs be dispersed abroad, And streams of water in the streets?

Unto this day they do after the former manner: they fear not Jehovah, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law or after the commandment which Jehovah commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel;

Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways: as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near unto God.

But it is not as though the word of God hath come to nought. For they are not all Israel, that are of Israel:

Hear the word of Jehovah, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.What unto me is the multitude of your sacrifices? saith Jehovah: I have had enough of the burnt- offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he- goats.When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to trample my courts?Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; new moon and sabbath, the calling of assemblies,— I cannot away with iniquity and the solemn meeting.Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth; they are a trouble unto me; I am weary of bearing them.

O Jehovah our God, other lords besides thee have had dominion over us; but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.

That is, it is not the children of the flesh that are children of God; but the children of the promise are reckoned for a seed.

Behold, I give of the synagogue of Satan, of them that say they are Jews, and they are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against the false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the sojourner from his right, and fear not me, saith Jehovah of hosts.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

Thou shalt fear Jehovah thy God; him shalt thou serve; and to him shalt thou cleave, and by his name shalt thou swear.

Say unto God, How terrible are thy works! Through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, And that thou hast taken my covenant in thy mouth,Seeing that thou hatest instruction, And castest my words behind thee?When thou sawest a thief, thou consentedst with him, And hast been partaker with adulterers.Thou givest thy mouth to evil, And thy tongue frameth deceit.Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; Thou slanderest thine own mother’s son.

Jehovah hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy grain to be food for thine enemies; and foreigners shall not drink thy new wine, for which thou hast labored:

And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, and profane the name of thy God: I am Jehovah.

For men shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, railers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, without self- control, fierce, no lovers of good,traitors, headstrong, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power thereof: from these also turn away.

But if thou bearest the name of a Jew, and restest upon the law, and gloriest in God,

For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh:but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel.

And Jehovah heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and Jehovah said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken.

And in all things that I have said unto you take ye heed: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

and them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship, that swear to Jehovah and swear by Malcam;

But the king shall rejoice in God: Every one that sweareth by him shall glory; For the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye shut the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye enter not in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering in to enter.

through the hypocrisy of men that speak lies, branded in their own conscience as with a hot iron;

One shall say, I am Jehovah’s; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto Jehovah, and surname himself by the name of Israel.

I know thy tribulation, and thy poverty( but thou art rich), and the blasphemy of them that say they are Jews, and they are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for thou hast striven with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
