谁知寡居、丧子二事却忽然在同一天临到你身上。即使你懂得许多邪术和符咒，也于事无补。

哪知，丧子、寡居这两件事在一日转眼之间必临到你；正在你多行邪术、广施符咒的时候，这两件事必全然临到你身上。

哪知，丧子、寡居这两件事一日之间忽然临到你；你虽多行邪术、广施魔咒，这两件事必全然临到你身上。

哪知，丧子、寡居这两件事一日之间忽然临到你；你虽多行邪术、广施魔咒，这两件事必全然临到你身上。

不料丧子和寡居这两件事，竟在忽然之间，一日之内，要临到你身上！正在你多行邪术，竭力施符咒的时候，这两件事就必都临到你身上。

丧子和寡居这两件事必在一日之内突然临到你！你的法术再多，符咒再有威力，这两件事也必全然临到你！

哪知喪子寡居這兩件事、一眨眼之際、一日之間就臨到你了！正在你多行邪術、極力施符咒時，這兩件事就完完全全臨到你身上了！

喪子和寡居這兩件事必在一日之內突然臨到你！你的法術再多，符咒再有威力，這兩件事也必全然臨到你！

一日之間、俄頃之際、二者臨爾、為嫠喪子、在爾多行邪術、廣施符呪之時、其災必悉臨爾、

一日之間、夫喪子殤、二難並至。爾惑左道、信巫覡、邪慝方張、患難已集、

不知喪子為嫠、此二難必在一日俄頃間臨爾、爾雖多行邪術、廣施符咒、此二難亦勃然勃然或作全然臨爾、

Both of these will overtake you in a moment, on a single day: loss of children and widowhood. They will come upon you in full measure, in spite of your many sorceries and all your potent spells.

But both of these things will happen to you in a moment. They will take place on a single day. You will lose your children. And you will become a widow. That is what will happen to you. All your evil magic and powerful spells will not save you.

These two things shall come to you in a moment, in one day; the loss of children and widowhood shall come upon you in full measure, in spite of your many sorceries and the great power of your enchantments.

Well, both these things will come upon you in a moment: widowhood and the loss of your children. Yes, these calamities will come upon you, despite all your witchcraft and magic.

These two things will happen to you suddenly, in one day: loss of children and widowhood. They will happen to you in their entirety, in spite of your many sorceries and the potency of your spells.

But these two things will come on you suddenly in one day: Loss of children and widowhood. They will come on you in full measure In spite of your many sorceries, In spite of the great power of your spells.

But these two things shall come to you In a moment, in one day: The loss of children, and widowhood. They shall come upon you in their fullness Because of the multitude of your sorceries, For the great abundance of your enchantments.

but these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood; in their full measure shall they come upon thee, in the multitude of thy sorceries, and the great abundance of thine enchantments.

These two things will happen to you suddenly, in one day: loss of children and widowhood. They will happen to you in their entirety, in spite of your many sorceries and the potency of your spells.

But these two[ things] shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries,[ and] for the great abundance of thine enchantments.

Both of these will come upon you suddenly, in one day! You will lose your children and be widowed. You will be overwhelmed by these tragedies, despite your many incantations and your numerous amulets.

But these two things will come to you in a moment in one day, the loss of children and widowhood. They will come on you in their full measure, in the multitude of your sorceries, and the great abundance of your enchantments.

当人们正在说一切平安稳妥的时候，灾祸会像产痛临到孕妇一样突然临到他们，令他们无法逃脱。

这全是因为尼尼微像妖媚的妓女大肆淫乱，惯行邪术，以淫行诱惑列国，靠邪术欺骗各族。

他们顷刻间被毁灭，在恐怖中彻底灭亡。

“你自幼就勤练符咒和五花八门的邪术，继续施展吧！也许会有用处，也许会令人害怕。众多的计谋使你疲惫不堪，让那些观天象、每月说预言的占星家来救你脱离将临的灾祸吧！

所以在一天之内，她的灾祸，就是死亡、哀伤和饥荒要同时临到她身上。她要被火烧尽，因为审判她的主上帝能力伟大。“那些曾与她通奸享乐的君王目睹焚烧她的烟，必为她哭泣哀号。他们对她所受的灾祸充满恐惧，就远远地站着说，“‘强大坚固的巴比伦城啊，真悲惨！真悲惨！因为审判顷刻间临到你了。’

大地要颤抖，痛苦地扭动，因为耶和华决意要攻击巴比伦，使她荒无人烟。

至于那些胆怯的、不信的、行为可憎的、杀人的、淫乱的、行邪术的、拜偶像的和所有说谎的，他们的结局是被丢进硫磺火湖里，这就是第二次的死。”

他大声传令，召来巫师、占星家和占卜者，对这些巴比伦的智者说：“谁能读墙上的字，把意思告诉我，他必身穿紫袍，颈戴金链，在国中位居第三。”

便派人召来术士、巫师、行法术的和占星家，为他解梦。他们都来到王面前。

他来要按照撒旦的伎俩行各样虚假的异能、神迹和奇事，用尽各样诡计欺骗那些将要灭亡的人，因为他们不喜欢接受那能拯救他们的真理。

拿俄米对她们说：“不要再叫我拿俄米了，叫我玛拉吧！因为全能者叫我过得好苦啊！

玛伦和基连二人也相继去世，只剩下拿俄米，没有了丈夫，也没有了儿子。

他们必用弓箭射死青年，不怜悯婴儿，也不顾惜孩童。巴比伦在列国中辉煌无比，是迦勒底人的荣耀，但上帝必毁灭她，好像毁灭所多玛和蛾摩拉一样。那里必人烟绝迹，世世代代无人居住，没有阿拉伯人在那里支搭帐篷，也无人牧放羊群。那里躺卧着旷野的走兽，咆哮的猛兽占满房屋；鸵鸟住在那里，野山羊在那里跳跃嬉戏。豺狼在城楼上嚎叫，野狗在宫殿里狂吠。巴比伦的结局近了，它的时候不多了！

耶稣快到城门口时，从城里走出一队送殡的人，死者是一个寡妇的独子，有许多城中的人陪着她。耶稣看见那寡妇，怜悯之心油然而生，就对她说：“不要哭！”

万军之耶和华说：“我必攻击巴比伦，铲除巴比伦的名号、余民和后裔。这是耶和华说的。我必用毁灭的扫帚清扫它，使它成为沼泽之地和刺猬的住所。这是万军之耶和华说的。”

并且要说，‘耶和华啊！你曾说要毁灭这地方，使这里人兽绝迹、永远荒凉。’读完后，你要把卷轴绑在一块石头上，扔进幼发拉底河，然后说，‘耶和华降的灾祸必使巴比伦像这卷轴一样沉没、永不复兴，巴比伦人必灭亡。’”耶利米的话到此为止。

这时，有一位大力天使举起一块像大磨石的石头扔进海里，说：“巴比伦大城也必这样被用力扔下去，消失得无影无踪。在你那里，再也听不见弹琴作乐、鸣笛吹号的声音了，再也找不到能工巧匠了，再也听不到推磨的声音了，再也看不到闪耀的灯光了，再也听不见新婚夫妇的欢笑声了。因为你的商人曾经趾高气扬，你的邪术曾经迷惑万国，

那些如同恶犬的败类、行邪术的、淫乱的、杀人的、拜偶像的和一切喜欢弄虚作假的，都要被拒之城外。

术士、巫师、占星家和占卜者都来了，我将梦告诉他们，他们却不能给我解梦。

你生育的儿子没有一个来引导你，你抚养成人的众子没有一个来搀扶你。荒凉、毁灭、饥荒、战祸已临到你身上，谁会为你哀哭呢？谁能安慰你呢？

其余没有被这些灾害所杀的人仍不肯悔改、停止手中的恶行，还是去拜魔鬼和那些用金、银、铜、石、木所造，不能看、不能听、不能行走的偶像。他们不肯为自己所犯的凶杀、邪术、淫乱和偷盗悔改。
