巴比伦的处女啊！你下来，坐在尘土中吧！迦勒底的女儿啊！你坐在地上吧！没有宝座了，因为你必不再被称为柔弱娇嫩的了。

“巴比伦处女啊，下来，坐在尘土中！迦勒底女子啊，坐在地上，没有宝座！因为人必不再称你为柔弱娇嫩的了。

迦勒底國巴比倫都譬諸女主、失位而坐塗炭、喪其容儀、

巴比倫邑、邑原文作處女當降而坐於塗炭、塗炭原文作塵埃迦勒底邦、邦原文作女下同當坐於地、不坐於位、不復稱嬌柔細膩、

“ Go down, sit in the dust, Virgin Daughter Babylon; sit on the ground without a throne, queen city of the Babylonians. No more will you be called tender or delicate.

“ City of Babylon, go down and sit in the dust. Leave your throne and sit on the ground. Queen city of the Babylonians, your life will not be comfortable and easy anymore.

Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; sit on the ground without a throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans! For you shall no more be called tender and delicate.

“ Come down, virgin daughter of Babylon, and sit in the dust. For your days of sitting on a throne have ended. O daughter of Babylonia, never again will you be the lovely princess, tender and delicate.

“ Go down and sit in the dust, Virgin Daughter Babylon. Sit on the ground without a throne, Daughter Chaldea! For you will no longer be called pampered and spoiled.

“ Fall down! Sit in the dirt, O virgin daughter Babylon! Sit on the ground, not on a throne, O daughter of the Babylonians! Indeed, you will no longer be called delicate and pampered.

萬軍之耶和華－以色列的神如此說：巴比倫城好像踹穀的禾場；再過片時，收割她的時候就到了。

將要被滅的巴比倫城啊，報復你像你待我們的，那人便為有福！

與巴比倫人同住的錫安民哪，應當逃脫。

埃及的民哪，可以上基列取乳香去；你雖多服良藥，總是徒然，不得治好。

他們拿弓和槍，性情殘忍，不施憐憫；他們的聲音像海浪匉訇。巴比倫城啊，他們騎馬，都擺隊伍如上戰場的人，要攻擊你。

錫安的城門必悲傷、哀號；她必荒涼坐在地上。

住在底本的民哪，要從你榮耀的位上下來，坐受乾渴；因毀滅摩押的上來攻擊你，毀壞了你的保障。

所以耶和華論他這樣說：錫安的處女藐視你，嗤笑你；耶路撒冷的女子向你搖頭。

你心裏曾說：我要升到天上；我要高舉我的寶座在神眾星以上；我要坐在聚會的山上，在北方的極處。我要升到高雲之上；我要與至上者同等。

困苦的百姓，你必拯救；高傲的眼目，你必使他降卑。

你要對君王和太后說：你們當自卑，坐在下邊；因你們的頭巾，就是你們的華冠，已經脫落了。

他使住高處的與高城一併敗落，將城拆毀，拆平，直到塵埃，

你因美麗心中高傲，又因榮光敗壞智慧，我已將你摔倒在地，使你倒在君王面前，好叫他們目睹眼見。

安逸的婦女啊，起來聽我的聲音！無慮的女子啊，側耳聽我的言語！無慮的女子啊，再過一年多，必受騷擾；因為無葡萄可摘，無果子可收。安逸的婦女啊，要戰兢；無慮的女子啊，要受騷擾。脫去衣服，赤着身體，腰束麻布。

耶路撒冷啊，要抖下塵土！起來坐在位上！錫安被擄的居民哪，要解開你頸項的鎖鍊！

她怎樣榮耀自己，怎樣奢華，也當叫她照樣痛苦悲哀，因她心裏說：我坐了皇后的位，並不是寡婦，決不至於悲哀。

你使他的光輝止息，將他的寶座推倒於地。

少年人和老年人都在街上躺臥；我的處女和壯丁都倒在刀下；你發怒的日子殺死他們。你殺了，並不顧惜。

你自己說：我必永為主母，所以你不將這事放在心上，也不思想這事的結局。你這專好宴樂、安然居住的，現在當聽這話。你心中說：惟有我，除我以外再沒有別的。我必不致寡居，也不遭喪子之事。哪知，喪子、寡居這兩件事在一日轉眼之間必臨到你；正在你多行邪術、廣施符咒的時候，這兩件事必全然臨到你身上。

錫安城的長老坐在地上默默無聲；他們揚起塵土落在頭上，腰束麻布；耶路撒冷的處女垂頭至地。

那時靠海的君王必都下位，除去朝服，脫下花衣，披上戰兢，坐在地上，時刻發抖，為你驚駭。

約伯就坐在爐灰中，拿瓦片刮身體。

素來吃美好食物的，現今在街上變為孤寒；素來臥朱紅褥子的，現今躺臥糞堆。

他們就同他七天七夜坐在地上，一個人也不向他說句話，因為他極其痛苦。

他又說：受欺壓西頓的居民哪，你必不得再歡樂。起來！過到基提去；就是在那裏也不得安歇。（

你們中間，柔弱嬌嫩的婦人，是因嬌嫩柔弱不肯把腳踏地的，必惡眼看她懷中的丈夫和她的兒女。她兩腿中間出來的嬰孩與她所要生的兒女，她因缺乏一切就要在你受仇敵圍困窘迫的城中將他們暗暗地吃了。

住在山穴中、居所在高處的啊，你因狂傲自欺，心裏說：誰能將我拉下地去呢？你雖如大鷹高飛，在星宿之間搭窩，我必從那裏拉下你來。這是耶和華說的。

這信息傳到尼尼微王的耳中，他就下了寶座，脫下朝服，披上麻布，坐在灰中。

我必傾覆列國的寶座，除滅列邦的勢力，並傾覆戰車和坐在其上的。馬必跌倒，騎馬的敗落，各人被弟兄的刀所殺。
