耶和华说：“雅各家啊，以色列家的余民啊，要听我说。你们一出生，我就照顾你们；一出母胎，我就呵护你们。

“雅各家啊，以色列家所有余剩的人哪！你们都要听我的话，你们自出母腹，就蒙我怀抱；自出母胎，就蒙我提携。

“雅各家啊，以色列家所有的余剩之民哪，你们这些自出母腹就被我负抱、自出母胎就被我背负的人，要听我的话！

『雅各家啊，要聽我！以色列家的一切餘民哪，要細聽！你們自從出母腹、就蒙保抱，自從出母胎、便蒙懷搋；

「雅各家啊，以色列家所有的餘剩之民哪，你們這些自出母腹就被我負抱、自出母胎就被我背負的人，要聽我的話！

雅各家、以色列之遺民歟、爾其聽我、爾自初生、為我襁負、爾自出胎、為我懷抱、

雅各家以色列族之餘民、自肇厥邦、我保抱之、提攜之、若懷赤子、以至耄耋、皓然白首、我扶翼爾、拯救爾、爾其聽予焉。

雅各家以色列族之餘民、當聽我言、自爾有生、我保抱爾、自爾出胎、出胎或作生於世我提攜爾、

“ Listen to me, you descendants of Jacob, all the remnant of the people of Israel, you whom I have upheld since your birth, and have carried since you were born.

The Lord says,“ Family of Jacob, listen to me. Pay attention, you people of Israel who are left alive. I have taken good care of you since your life began. I have carried you since you were born as a nation.

“ Listen to me, O house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been borne by me from before your birth, carried from the womb;

“ Listen to me, descendants of Jacob, all you who remain in Israel. I have cared for you since you were born. Yes, I carried you before you were born.

“ Listen to me, house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been sustained from the womb, carried along since birth.

“ Listen to Me, house of Jacob, And all the remnant of the house of Israel, You who have been carried by Me from birth And have been carried from the womb;

“ Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, And all the remnant of the house of Israel, Who have been upheld by Me from birth, Who have been carried from the womb:

Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, that have been borne by me from their birth, that have been carried from the womb;

“ Listen to Me, house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been sustained from the womb, carried along since birth.

Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne[ by me] from the belly, which are carried from the womb:

“ Listen to me, O family of Jacob, all you who are left from the family of Israel, you who have been carried from birth, you who have been supported from the time you left the womb.

“ Listen to me, house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, that have been carried from their birth, that have been carried from the womb.

and in the wilderness. There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.” (niv)

From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you. (niv)

Though your people be like the sand by the sea, Israel, only a remnant will return. Destruction has been decreed, overwhelming and righteous. (niv)

“‘ Then I passed by and saw you kicking about in your blood, and as you lay there in your blood I said to you,“ Live!”I made you grow like a plant of the field. You grew and developed and entered puberty. Your breasts had formed and your hair had grown, yet you were stark naked.“‘ Later I passed by, and when I looked at you and saw that you were old enough for love, I spread the corner of my garment over you and covered your naked body. I gave you my solemn oath and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Sovereign Lord, and you became mine.“‘ I bathed you with water and washed the blood from you and put ointments on you.I clothed you with an embroidered dress and put sandals of fine leather on you. I dressed you in fine linen and covered you with costly garments.I adorned you with jewelry: I put bracelets on your arms and a necklace around your neck,and I put a ring on your nose, earrings on your ears and a beautiful crown on your head.So you were adorned with gold and silver; your clothes were of fine linen and costly fabric and embroidered cloth. Your food was honey, olive oil and the finest flour. You became very beautiful and rose to be a queen.And your fame spread among the nations on account of your beauty, because the splendor I had given you made your beauty perfect, declares the Sovereign Lord.“‘ But you trusted in your beauty and used your fame to become a prostitute. You lavished your favors on anyone who passed by and your beauty became his.You took some of your garments to make gaudy high places, where you carried on your prostitution. You went to him, and he possessed your beauty. (niv)

Unless the Lord Almighty had left us some survivors, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah. (niv)

Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you, even at my mother’s breast.From birth I was cast on you; from my mother’s womb you have been my God. (niv)

Listen to me, you islands; hear this, you distant nations: Before I was born the Lord called me; from my mother’s womb he has spoken my name.He made my mouth like a sharpened sword, in the shadow of his hand he hid me; he made me into a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver. (niv)

Listen to me, you stubborn- hearted, you who are now far from my righteousness. (niv)

Hear me, my people, and I will warn you— if you would only listen to me, Israel!You shall have no foreign god among you; you shall not worship any god other than me.I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.“ But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me.So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices.“ If my people would only listen to me, if Israel would only follow my ways, (niv)

It may be that the Lord your God will hear the words of the field commander, whom his master, the king of Assyria, has sent to ridicule the living God, and that he will rebuke him for the words the Lord your God has heard. Therefore pray for the remnant that still survives.” (niv)

In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the surviving remnant of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the Mediterranean. (niv)

This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:“ I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your well- being like the waves of the sea. In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old. (niv)

‘ You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. (niv)

“ Hear me, you who know what is right, you people who have taken my instruction to heart: Do not fear the reproach of mere mortals or be terrified by their insults. (niv)

“ Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the Lord: Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn; (niv)

“ Listen to this, you descendants of Jacob, you who are called by the name of Israel and come from the line of Judah, you who take oaths in the name of the Lord and invoke the God of Israel— but not in truth or righteousness— (niv)

“ Remember these things, Jacob, for you, Israel, are my servant. I have made you, you are my servant; Israel, I will not forget you. (niv)

“ But now listen, Jacob, my servant, Israel, whom I have chosen.This is what the Lord says— he who made you, who formed you in the womb, and who will help you: Do not be afraid, Jacob, my servant, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen. (niv)

like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, that spreads its wings to catch them and carries them aloft.The Lord alone led him; no foreign god was with him. (niv)
