『有禍啊，那跟塑造他、的主爭論的！瓦器跟摶土者計較的！泥土哪能對塑造它的說：「你在作甚麼？」或是說：「你所作的沒有把手呀」？

祸哉，那与造他的主争论的！他不过是地上瓦片中的一块瓦片。泥土岂可对抟弄他的说：“你做什么呢？”所做的物岂可说：“你没有手呢？”

“那与造他的主争论的人有祸了！他不过是地上瓦块中的一片。泥土岂可对塑造它的说：‘你做的是什么？你所做的物怎么没有把手呢？’

“那与造他的主争论的人有祸了！他不过是地上瓦块中的一片。泥土岂可对塑造它的说：‘你做的是什么？你所做的物怎么没有把手呢？’

“跟造物主争辩的人有祸了！他不过是世上瓦器中的一件。陶泥怎能对陶匠说，‘你在做什么’？受造之物怎能说，‘造我的没手艺’？

那与他的创造主争论的，有祸了！他不过是地上瓦片中的一片瓦片，泥土能对陶匠说：‘你在作什么？’或你所作成的说：‘他没有手’吗？

祸哉！那与他的塑造者争论的！他不过是地上瓦片中的片瓦。难道陶泥能对陶匠说：“你做的是什么东西？你做的怎么没有把手呢？”

禍哉，那與造他的主爭論的！他不過是地上瓦片中的一塊瓦片。泥土豈可對摶弄它的說：你做甚麼呢？所做的物豈可說：你沒有手呢？

那與他的創造主爭論的，有禍了！他不過是地上瓦片中的一片瓦片，泥土能對陶匠說：‘你在作甚麼？’或你所作成的說：‘他沒有手’嗎？

禍哉！那與他的塑造者爭論的！他不過是地上瓦片中的片瓦。難道陶泥能對陶匠說：「你做的是什麼東西？你做的怎麼沒有把手呢？」

土壤瓦礫中之片瓦、與造之者爭辯、其有禍矣、塗泥豈能謂陶人曰、爾何為乎、所造之物豈得曰、彼無手乎、

人若陶器、居於土壤、如與造化主爭、禍必及之。譬諸塗泥、豈能謂陶人曰、奚造我若此、受造之物、豈能謂造之者、毫無技能。

世人如地上瓦礫中之瓦片、欲與造之之主爭、禍必及之、泥豈能謂陶人曰、爾何為乎、被製之物豈能對製者曰、非經爾手、非經爾手或作爾無手也

“ Woe to those who quarrel with their Maker, those who are nothing but potsherds among the potsherds on the ground. Does the clay say to the potter,‘ What are you making?’ Does your work say,‘ The potter has no hands’?

How terrible it will be for anyone who argues with their Maker! They are like a broken piece of pottery lying on the ground. Does clay say to a potter,“ What are you making?” Does a pot say,“ The potter doesn’t have any skill”?

“ Woe to him who strives with him who formed him, a pot among earthen pots! Does the clay say to him who forms it,‘ What are you making?’ or‘ Your work has no handles’?

“ What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying,‘ Stop, you’re doing it wrong!’ Does the pot exclaim,‘ How clumsy can you be?’

“ Woe to the one who argues with his Maker— one clay pot among many. Does clay say to the one forming it,‘ What are you making?’ Or does your work say,‘ He has no hands’?

“ Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker— A piece of pottery among the other earthenware pottery pieces! Will the clay say to the potter,‘ What are you doing?’ Or the thing you are making say,‘ He has no hands’?

“ Woe to him who strives with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth! Shall the clay say to him who forms it,‘ What are you making?’ Or shall your handiwork say,‘ He has no hands’?

Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! a potsherd among the potsherds of the earth! Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

“ Woe to the one who argues with his Maker— one clay pot among many. Does clay say to the one forming it,‘ What are you making?’ Or does your work say,‘ He has no hands’?

Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker![ Let] the potsherd[ strive] with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

One who argues with his creator is in grave danger, one who is like a mere shard among the other shards on the ground! The clay should not say to the potter,“ What in the world are you doing? Your work lacks skill!”

Woe to him who strives with his Maker— a clay pot among the clay pots of the earth! Shall the clay ask him who fashions it,‘ What are you making?’ or your work,‘ He has no hands?’

但是人哪，你到底是誰，你這跟上帝頂嘴的？被塑造的哪能對塑造他的說：「你為甚麼造我像這樣呢？」窰匠對泥土難道沒有權柄從同一團泥作器皿，有的作成貴重的，有的作成下賤的麼？

如今呢、永恆主啊，你、仍是我們的父；我們是摶泥，你、乃是窰匠；我們都是你手所塑造的作品。

『以色列家啊，難道我不能待你們、像這窰匠所作的麼？看哪，泥在窰匠手中怎麼樣，以色列家啊，你們在我手中也必怎樣。

然而我還讓你存立，正為的是要向你彰顯我的大能力，並傳揚我的名於全地。你還向我的人民傲慢，不讓他們走麼？

巴比倫哪，我設下網羅捉拿你，你不知不覺被纏住；你被尋着，也被捉住，因為你跟永恆主爭競。

嘿！看你們的乖張顛倒！窰匠哪能被看做泥土呢？被製造的哪能論製造者，說：『他沒有製造我』；或是被塑造的論塑造他的，說：『他不聰明』呢？不是還有一點點短時候，

鑿子哪能向用鑿子的人炫耀自己？鋸子哪能向拉動鋸子的自大？好似棍子掄起那舉起棍子的，好似手杖舉起那不是木頭的呢？

沒有智慧、沒有明達、沒有謀略能敵得過永恆主。

難道你真地要破壞我的權利，定我為惡，以顯自己為義麼？你有上帝那樣的膀臂麼？你能用他那樣聲音發雷霆麼？

急難窘迫使他驚惶，又勝過他，像君王準備好了、等候衝鋒。因為他伸手攻擊上帝，自誇強大而抗拒全能者，挺着脖子、向全能者直闖，用盾牌的厚凸面自衛着；

地上君王列陣站着，眾人君一同陰謀，要敵擋永恆主，敵擋他所膏立的，說：『我們來掙開他們的捆綁，來脫掉他們的繩索吧。』那坐在天上的必冷笑；永恆主必嗤笑他們。那時他必氣忿忿責備他們，必發烈怒使他們驚惶；傳諭旨說：『我，我已立我的君王於錫安、我的聖山上。』受膏者說：『我必傳永恆主的諭旨；永恆主曾對我說：「你是我的兒子，我今日生了你。你求我，我便將列國賜給你為產業，將地極作為你的田產。你必用鐵杖打破他們；你必摔碎他們、如窰匠的瓦器。」』

或是說我們在激動主的妒愛啊？難道我們比他還強壯麼？
