‘我要走在你前面，为你铲平高山，打破铜门，砍断铁闩。

我必亲自领导你，把高低不平的路修平；铜门，我必打破；铁门，我必砍断。

我必在你前面行，修平崎嶇之地。我必打破銅門，砍斷鐵閂。

I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.

‘ I will march out ahead of you. I will make the mountains level. I will break down bronze gates. I will cut through their heavy iron bars.

“ I will go before you and level the exalted places, I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut through the bars of iron,

This is what the Lord says:“ I will go before you, Cyrus, and level the mountains. I will smash down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.

“ I will go before you and level the uneven places; I will shatter the bronze doors and cut the iron bars in two.

“ I will go before you and make the rough places smooth; I will shatter the doors of bronze and cut through their iron bars.

‘ I will go before you And make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze And cut the bars of iron.

I will go before thee, and make the rough places smooth; I will break in pieces the doors of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron;

一切山谷都要填滿，大山小山都要削低；彎曲的要改直，崎嶇的要改為平路；

一切山窪都要填高，大山小山都要削低，高高低低的要改為平坦，崎崎嶇嶇的要修成為平原。

因為他打破了銅門，砍斷了鐵閂。

我必領瞎子行不認識的路，他們不知道的路徑、我必帶他們走。我必使黑暗在他們面前變為亮光，使彎曲變為平直：這些事我都要作，決不放棄。

巴比倫的勇士停止了爭戰；在營寨裏呆着；他們的勇力都衰盡了；他們都變得像婦人女子。巴比倫的居所有火着起；其門閂都折斷了。

聽啊！山間有大眾喧嘩的聲音呢！好像許多眾民的嘈雜；聽啊！有列國喧鬧的響聲呢！有聚攏來的列邦之鬨嚷。萬軍之永恆主在點閱着軍隊，準備着赴戰。他們從遠地而來，從天儘邊來到，就是永恆主跟他義怒的軍器、要毁滅這全轄地。哀號哦！因為永恆主的日子臨近了；這日子必來到，就像毁滅出於毁滅者。故此人的手都必發軟，人都必膽戰心驚；他們都要驚惶失措。疼痛和劇疼必將他們抓住；他們必翻騰絞痛、像生產的婦人一樣；他們相顧駭愕，臉上都顯着劇疼的氣色。看吧，永恆主的日子來到，必有殘忍、震怒和烈怒，使這地荒涼，並從其中除滅重罪的人。天上的眾星羣宿都不發光；日頭一出就變黑暗，月亮也不放光。我必因其壞透而察罰世界，因其罪孽而刑罰惡人；我必使傲慢人的狂傲止息，使強橫人的驕傲卑抑下來。我必使人比鍊淨的金還少，使人比俄斐的金更稀罕。因此在萬軍之永恆主的震怒中，當他發怒的日子，天必震動，地必搖撼、離其本位。人必像被追趕的瞪羚羊，又如綿羊，無人收聚，各歸向本族之民，各逃到本地。凡被找到的，必被刺死；凡被追上的、必倒斃於刀下。他們的嬰孩必在他們眼前被摔死；他們的房屋必被搶掠；他們的妻子必被強姦。看吧，我必激動瑪代人來攻擊他們；瑪代人不看重銀子，不喜愛金子。

當這些日子、在一處的一羣人、約有一百二十名。彼得在弟兄中間站起來，說：
