I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I have not said to Jacob’s descendants,‘ Seek me in vain.’ I, the Lord, speak the truth; I declare what is right.

“ Come near to me and hear this:“ From the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time that it happened, I was there.” Now the Lord Yahweh has sent me with his Spirit.

For Yahweh says to the house of Israel:“ Seek me, and you will live;

God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?Behold, I have received a command to bless. He has blessed, and I can’t reverse it.

You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.I will be found by you,” says Yahweh,“ and I will turn again your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you, says Yahweh. I will bring you again to the place from where I caused you to be carried away captive.”

Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out,“ If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink!He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.”But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus wasn’t yet glorified.

When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you. Yes, when you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.

This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek your face— even Jacob. Selah.

You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.

“ Your words have been stout against me,” says Yahweh.“ Yet you say,‘ What have we spoken against you?’You have said,‘ It is vain to serve God;’ and‘ What profit is it that we have followed his instructions, and that we have walked mournfully before Yahweh of Armies?

Yahweh’s words are flawless words, as silver refined in a clay furnace, purified seven times.

Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. Yahweh’s covenant is sure, making wise the simple.Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes.The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever. Yahweh’s ordinances are true, and righteous altogether.They are more to be desired than gold, yes, than much fine gold, sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb.

“ Every word of God is flawless. He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

Jesus answered him,“ I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues, and in the temple, where the Jews always meet. I said nothing in secret.

The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

The works of his hands are truth and justice. All his precepts are sure.They are established forever and ever. They are done in truth and uprightness.

When they tell you,“ Consult with those who have familiar spirits and with the wizards, who chirp and who mutter,” shouldn’t a people consult with their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?

Doesn’t wisdom cry out? Doesn’t understanding raise her voice?On the top of high places by the way, where the paths meet, she stands.Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entry doors, she cries aloud:“ I call to you men! I send my voice to the sons of mankind.

For this commandment which I command you today is not too hard for you or too distant.It is not in heaven, that you should say,“ Who will go up for us to heaven, bring it to us, and proclaim it to us, that we may do it?”Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say,“ Who will go over the sea for us, bring it to us, and proclaim it to us, that we may do it?”But the word is very near to you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.

The secret things belong to Yahweh our God; but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? Who is this who is glorious in his clothing, marching in the greatness of his strength?“ It is I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”

and he went out to meet Asa, and said to him,“ Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin! Yahweh is with you, while you are with him; and if you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.

I have sworn by myself. The word has gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and will not be revoked, that to me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall take an oath.

For I was ashamed to ask of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy on the way, because we had spoken to the king, saying,“ The hand of our God is on all those who seek him, for good; but his power and his wrath is against all those who forsake him.”

The humble have seen it, and are glad. You who seek after God, let your heart live.

Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, Yahweh’s assembly, and in the audience of our God, observe and seek out all the commandments of Yahweh your God; that you may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children after you forever.

They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them the ability to speak.Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under the sky.When this sound was heard, the multitude came together and were bewildered, because everyone heard them speaking in his own language.They were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another,“ Behold, aren’t all these who speak Galileans?How do we hear, everyone in our own native language?

She calls at the head of noisy places. At the entrance of the city gates, she utters her words:

“ Cry aloud! Don’t spare! Lift up your voice like a trumpet! Declare to my people their disobedience, and to the house of Jacob their sins.Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways. As a nation that did righteousness, and didn’t forsake the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments. They delight to draw near to God.‘ Why have we fasted,’ they say,‘ and you don’t see? Why have we afflicted our soul, and you don’t notice?’“ Behold, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, and oppress all your laborers.

You are righteous, Yahweh. Your judgments are upright.You have commanded your statutes in righteousness. They are fully trustworthy.

But as for me, my prayer is to you, Yahweh, in an acceptable time. God, in the abundance of your loving kindness, answer me in the truth of your salvation.

Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying,“ You both know me, and know where I am from. I have not come of myself, but he who sent me is true, whom you don’t know.

The Rock: his work is perfect, for all his ways are just. A God of faithfulness who does no wrong, just and right is he.

Behold, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is truly the Christ?

Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you.

Hear, for I will speak excellent things. The opening of my lips is for right things.

‘ These people draw near to me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.And in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrine rules made by men.’”

Seek Yahweh while he may be found. Call on him while he is near.Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him, to our God, for he will freely pardon.

Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled. Who among them can declare this, and show us former things? Let them bring their witnesses, that they may be justified, or let them hear, and say,“ That is true.”“ You are my witnesses,” says Yahweh,“ With my servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he. Before me there was no God formed, neither will there be after me.
