I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I have not said to Jacob’s descendants,‘ Seek me in vain.’ I, the Lord, speak the truth; I declare what is right.

Come near to Me, listen to this: From the beginning I have not spoken in secret, From the time it took place, I was there. And now the Lord God has sent Me, and His Spirit.”

For this is what the Lord says to the house of Israel:“ Seek Me so that you may live.

God is not a man, that He would lie, Nor a son of man, that He would change His mind; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?Behold, I have received a command to bless; When He has blessed, I cannot revoke it.

And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.I will let Myself be found by you,’ declares the Lord,‘ and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you,’ declares the Lord,‘ and I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.’

Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying,“ If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said,‘ From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ ”But this He said in reference to the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

So when you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; Yes, even though you offer many prayers, I will not be listening. Your hands are covered with blood.

This is the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face— even Jacob. Selah

You ask and do not receive, because you ask with the wrong motives, so that you may spend what you request on your pleasures.

“ Your words have been arrogant against Me,” says the Lord.“ Yet you say,‘ What have we spoken against You?’You have said,‘ It is pointless to serve God; and what benefit is it for us that we have done what He required, and that we have walked in mourning before the Lord of armies?

The words of the Lord are pure words; Like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, filtered seven times.

The Law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether.They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much pure gold; Sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.

Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.

Jesus answered him,“ I have spoken openly to the world; I always taught in synagogues and in the temple area, where all the Jews congregate; and I said nothing in secret.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.

The works of His hands are truth and justice; All His precepts are trustworthy.They are upheld forever and ever; They are performed in truth and uprightness.

When they say to you,“ Consult the mediums and the spiritists who whisper and mutter,” should a people not consult their God? Should they consult the dead in behalf of the living?

Does not wisdom call, And understanding raise her voice?On top of the heights beside the way, Where the paths meet, she takes her stand;Beside the gates, at the opening to the city, At the entrance of the doors, she cries out:“ To you, people, I call, And my voice is to mankind.

“ For this commandment which I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it far away.It is not in heaven, that you could say,‘ Who will go up to heaven for us and get it for us, and proclaim it to us, so that we may follow it?’Nor is it beyond the sea, that you could say,‘ Who will cross the sea for us and get it for us and proclaim it to us, so that we may follow it?’On the contrary, the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may follow it.

“ The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, so that we may follow all the words of this Law.

Who is this who comes from Edom, With garments of glowing colors from Bozrah, This One who is majestic in His apparel, Marching in the greatness of His strength?“ It is I, the One who speaks in righteousness, mighty to save.”

and he went out to meet Asa and said to him,“ Listen to me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: the Lord is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you abandon Him, He will abandon you.

I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance.

For I was ashamed to request from the king troops and horsemen to protect us from the enemy on the way, because we had said to the king,“ The hand of our God is favorably disposed to all who seek Him, but His power and His anger are against all those who abandon Him.”

The humble have seen it and are glad; You who seek God, let your heart revive.

So now, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the Lord, and in the presence of our God, keep and seek after all the commandments of the Lord your God so that you may possess the good land and leave it as an inheritance to your sons after you forever.

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with different tongues, as the Spirit was giving them the ability to speak out.Now there were Jews residing in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation under heaven.And when this sound occurred, the crowd came together and they were bewildered, because each one of them was hearing them speak in his own language.They were amazed and astonished, saying,“ Why, are not all these who are speaking Galileans?And how is it that we each hear them in our own language to which we were born?

At the head of the noisy streets she cries out; At the entrance of the gates in the city she declares her sayings:

“ Cry loudly, do not hold back; Raise your voice like a trumpet, And declare to My people their wrongdoing, And to the house of Jacob their sins.Yet they seek Me day by day and delight to know My ways, As a nation that has done righteousness And has not forsaken the ordinance of their God. They ask Me for just decisions, They delight in the nearness of God.‘ Why have we fasted and You do not see? Why have we humbled ourselves and You do not notice?’ Behold, on the day of your fast you find your desire, And oppress all your workers.

You are righteous, Lord, And Your judgments are right.You have commanded Your testimonies in righteousness And great faithfulness.

But as for me, my prayer is to You, Lord, at an acceptable time; God, in the greatness of Your mercy, Answer me with Your saving truth.

Then Jesus cried out in the temple, teaching and saying,“ You both know Me and you know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know.

The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and just is He.

And yet look, He is speaking publicly, and they are saying nothing to Him. The rulers do not really know that this is the Christ, do they?

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You.

Listen, for I will speak noble things; And the opening of my lips will reveal right things.

‘ This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far away from Me.And in vain do they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”

Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near.Let the wicked abandon his way, And the unrighteous person his thoughts; And let him return to the Lord, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

All the nations have gathered together So that the peoples may be assembled. Who among them can declare this And proclaim to us the former things? Let them present their witnesses so that they may be justified, Or let them hear and say,“ It is true.”“ You are My witnesses,” declares the Lord,“ And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me.
