For the LORD says to the house of Israel: Seek me and live!

God is not a man, that he might lie, or a son of man, that he might change his mind. Does he speak and not act, or promise and not fulfill?I have indeed received a command to bless; since he has blessed, I cannot change it.

You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart.I will be found by you”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and places where I banished you”— this is the LORD’s declaration.“ I will restore you to the place from which I deported you.”

On the last and most important day of the festival, Jesus stood up and cried out,“ If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.The one who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him.”He said this about the Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus were going to receive the Spirit, for the Spirit had not yet been given because Jesus had not yet been glorified.

When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will refuse to look at you; even if you offer countless prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are covered with blood.

Such is the generation of those who inquire of him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah

Every word of God is pure; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

“ I have spoken openly to the world,” Jesus answered him.“ I have always taught in the synagogue and in the temple, where all the Jews gather, and I haven’t spoken anything in secret.

The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

The works of his hands are truth and justice; all his instructions are trustworthy.They are established forever and ever, enacted in truth and in uprightness.

When they say to you,“ Inquire of the mediums and the spiritists who chirp and mutter,” shouldn’t a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead on behalf of the living?

Doesn’t wisdom call out? Doesn’t understanding make her voice heard?At the heights overlooking the road, at the crossroads, she takes her stand.Beside the gates leading into the city, at the main entrance, she cries out:“ People, I call out to you; my cry is to the children of Adam.

“ This command that I give you today is certainly not too difficult or beyond your reach.It is not in heaven so that you have to ask,‘ Who will go up to heaven, get it for us, and proclaim it to us so that we may follow it?’And it is not across the sea so that you have to ask,‘ Who will cross the sea, get it for us, and proclaim it to us so that we may follow it?’But the message is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, so that you may follow it.

The hidden things belong to the LORD our God, but the revealed things belong to us and our children forever, so that we may follow all the words of this law.

You are righteous, LORD, and your judgments are just.The decrees you issue are righteous and altogether trustworthy.

But as for me, LORD, my prayer to you is for a time of favor. In your abundant, faithful love, God, answer me with your sure salvation.

As he was teaching in the temple, Jesus cried out,“ You know me and you know where I am from. Yet I have not come on my own, but the one who sent me is true. You don’t know him;

The Rock— his work is perfect; all his ways are just. A faithful God, without bias, he is righteous and true.

Yet, look, he’s speaking publicly and they’re saying nothing to him. Can it be true that the authorities know he is the Messiah?

Those who know your name trust in you because you have not abandoned those who seek you, LORD.

Listen, for I speak of noble things, and what my lips say is right.

This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.They worship me in vain, teaching as doctrines human commands.”

Seek the LORD while he may be found; call to him while he is near.Let the wicked one abandon his way and the sinful one his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, so he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will freely forgive.

All the nations are gathered together, and the peoples are assembled. Who among them can declare this, and tell us the former things? Let them present their witnesses to vindicate themselves, so that people may hear and say,“ It is true.”“ You are my witnesses”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. No god was formed before me, and there will be none after me.
